Abstract

Present work performance and emission characteristics are done using datura methyl ester in single cylinder four stroke water cooled diesel engine. the obtained results are the brake thermal efficiency reduced for all blended fuels, brake specific fuel consumption increased, DAT20 given lesser oxides of nitrogen, carbon monoxide and DAT20E10 got lesser unburned hydro carbon emission compare with diesel fuel.
