Abstract

In developing country like India; area of construction is less due to increasing population. So structure designer has to design vertical tall structures as per popular demand. Also architectural aspect of building is one of the important parameters today. Nowadays various shapes of structures are designed by architectures; like T-Shape, Rectangle Shape, and C-Shape etc. In such irregular and high-rise structures, there is inducement of various lateral loads such as; wind loads, earthquake loads etc. To reduce effect of such lateral loads there are various lateral load resisting systems available like; Shear wall system, Bracing system, Flat slab system etc. So in present study T- Shape is studied and four different lateral load resisting system applied on them; I) Bracing II) Shear Wall III) Flat slab with Bracing IV) Flat slab with Shear Wall. Equivalent Static Analysis and Response Spectrum Analysis performed using Finite Element Method based software ETABS 15.0.0. Parameter considered is Top Storey Displacement
