Abstract

In this work a typical gas turbine blade is considered and studied using different vent configurations. Here the temperature rise in cooling fluid is considered as a scale of better heat transfer from the blade surface. Inconel 718 is taken as blade material and air and steam are considered as cooling fluids at three different temperatures 100o C, 200o C and 300o C for better study. All the results and observations are discussed briefly in the conclusion. To carry out this work CATIA V5 is used for modeling and ANSYS 15.0 is used for simulation.
