Abstract

GA are robust, efficient and optimized methods that are used in getting solutions to number of search and optimization problems. In this paper, we use a genetic algorithm with focused crawling for improving the accuracy of similarity measure. As information has been increasing rapidly, it is very difficult to get information as per the user satisfaction. A focused crawler is a web crawler which gives relevant pages according to users query.Genetic Algorithms (GA) are optimization algorithms inspired by the Darwin's theory of natural evolution and survival of fittest.
