Optimum utilisation of steel in construction industry has interaction with sustainable process of construction management. This can be achieved by means of improving BBS techniques & steel yard management to minimise wastage in construction. BBS techniques can improved by means of utilisation of Autodesk Rivet, Vico , and Naviswork software in BBS modelling. IBS involves 28 issues involved in construction phase, subdivided in three main parts as pre construction, construction and post construction. It is observed than there is variation in designed steel quantity and actual utilised steel in construction site. Analysis of actual steel quantity of steel utilised in site can be done by comparing data of actual BBS quantity and designed quantity for reconciliation of steel wastage analysis. Steel yard management system improved with laydown yard GPS monitoring site coordinates with nearby geological coordinates. Field application can be improved with coupler in place of lapping in higher diameter of steel above 16mm. Productivity of workman improved with utilisation of tying tools. Steel yard management improve sustainable improvement by qualitative and quantitative manner to improve culture of construction industries.
