ANALYSIS OF CRACKED CANTILEVER BEAM HAVING MOVING MASS OBJECT

Damage in structural member plays vital role in the evaluation to ensure the safety. Structures like large railway bridges, heavy loading industrial crane and ropeways are withstands continuously time varying moving load. Here as per the application among other dynamic condition the moving mass object is more suitable to the application. Due to initiation of crack the physical parameters (i.e. flexibility and stiffness) have been changed the dynamic properties like natural frequencies, deflection and mode shapes. In present work, deflection parameter is determined by using moving mass method considering fixed – free end boundary condition. Deflection is analysed using the forward solution method on other hand MATLAB code is prepared and further validated with experimental outcomes.
