Abstract

The present study describes the quality of Tapi river of Surat city, Gujarat. The water samples will be collected from five sites. This study will be aimed at using the assessment of Water Quality Index (WQI) in evaluating the quality of Tapi river for public usage. The water samples will be analyzed for various physic-chemical parameters namely pH, temperature, conductivity, DO, BOD, total dissolve solids, total hardness, nitrate, fluoride, chloride.
