Abstract

The present work is intended to optimize the existing MIG welding process parameters utilized by an industrial firm, which engaged in fabrication of generator set. The optimized process parameter will improve overall weld quality by achieving minimum heat affected zone (HAZ) on canopy of generator set. Design of experiment based on Box Behnken Design of Response Surface Methodology was developed in Design expert software, which was used for analysis of results.
