Abstract

The very hot development and increasing demand of photovoltaic power system has shown green light to the application of solar (PV) power generation system in the transmission and distribution grid connected system. This development of photovoltaic power system makes go to the low voltage ride through (LVRT) techniques, which is very important and one of the major problems in grid connected systems in recent years. This paper represents an overview of LVRT techniques for PV generation systems, based on the current control, fault detection, dc-link voltage control and grid synchronization under different voltage dip operation conditions and solutions are also discussed as well, and at the end LVRT requirements in different grid codes for PV Power Plant are explained.
