Abstract

To utilize the industrial waste, a challenge is made to stabilize the black cotton soil by adding polypropylene fibers. Large acres of land are occupied by industrial waste, which creates environmental problems also with a scarcity of land. To evaluate the effect of the addition of 0%, 0.25%, 0.50%, 0.75%, 1.0%, 1.25% polypropylene fibers to stabilize the black cotton soil and verify its suitability to be used as a construction material for road, embankment and structural fills is investigated in the region of Black cotton soil. Its consistency properties, compaction properties, and strength parameter are also analyzed in this paper.
