Renewable Eco Friendly Alternate Fuels

Abstract

Fossil Fuels such as coal and gasoline provide most of the energy needs of the world today, but because of
their diminishing reserves, high prices and most importantly, their damaging effect on the environment, alternative
sources of energy and environment friendly fuels are now being developed. There is an ardent need for saving the
environment that is being polluted by emissions given out by the extensive use of gasoline. There are promising
discoveries in alternative fuels such as Alcohols, Bio-diesel and Natural gas, which give hope that before any crisis
occurs, mankind would have perfected and commercialized alternate sources of fuel that will be eco- friendly and
affordable too. This paper proposes more than a dozen alternative and advanced fuels in production or use today from
the perspective of protecting the environment.
