Abstract

- Present experimental program focuses on the partial replacement of OPC with 12% of sugar cane bagasse ash and natural fine aggregates with various proportions of copper slag. The use of industrial waste has focusing of research on waste reduction for environmental and economical reasons. In this investigation, a study on M25 grade of concrete with partial replacement of OPC with optimum percentage of sugar cane bagasse ash(12%) and natural fine aggregates with varying proportions(0,50,100) of copper slag is made. The cast specimens are subjected to different curing environments such as by curing in natural water and acid solutions like HCL, H2So4 and Na2So4 of 5% concentration. The strength properties calculated by various mechanical properties are studied for
natural water curing. Strength deterioration and sorptivity tests for cubes and cylinders under acid curing at the age of 28days have also been investigated.
