Abstract

Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger in which It is Fixed Tube-sheet and Counter Flow Type Heat Exchanger. In this research contain the analysis and comparison between plain tubes used Shell and tube heat exchanger and corrugated tubed used shell and tube heat exchanger system with different thickness. In this research thermal analysis of the shell and tube heat exchanger. In this solid works 2014 is used for geometrical modelling. And also TEMA standards are used for starting the experimental structure. Which are validate in ansys. Make prototype experiment model of shell and tube heat exchanger in which plain and corrugated tube is use one after one and also take reading for thermal analysis calculation and compare with Experiment Result to CFD Analysis result for validation. In Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Analysis Software use Solid Works for Geometry & Modelling, ICEM CFD (ANSYS) for Meshing and Fluent for Analysis. After doing experiment work & computational work will got the result for increasing heat transfer rate. Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers are used as process heat exchangers in the petroleum-refining and chemical industries. It is used as steam generator, condensers, boiler feed water heater, and oil coolers in power plant.
