IJTIMES is a fully open access journal, published by KG Publication. All articles are freely available to read, download, and share immediately upon publication, with no subscription, registration, or payment required from any reader anywhere in the world.
🔎 1. Definition of Open Access
The journal aligns with the Budapest Open Access Initiative definition of open access: free availability on the public internet, permitting any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, subject only to the licence terms set out below.
🔓 2. Licence to Readers
All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) licence. The licence permits any user to copy, redistribute, remix, transform, and build upon the work for non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate attribution is given to the original authors and source. Authors retain full copyright in their published articles. By submitting a manuscript, authors grant IJTIMES a non-exclusive licence to publish, distribute, and archive the article, and to deposit metadata and full text with indexing partners and preservation archives. The journal does not require, and does not accept, any transfer of copyright from authors.
⚡ 4. Immediate Open Access
The journal does not apply any embargo. Articles are made openly available on the IJTIMES website on the day of publication. There is no delay between publication and open access; the journal does not operate a hybrid, delayed, or transitional open access model.
🏭 5. Self-Archiving and Repository Deposit
Authors are entitled to deposit any version of their manuscript — pre-print, accepted manuscript, or published version — in any repository, at any time, in accordance with the CC BY-NC 4.0 licence terms. Authors are encouraged to:
- Deposit the published version in their institutional repository;
- Deposit in subject-specific repositories where one exists for their field;
- Share the article through scholarly networks, including ORCID profiles, ResearchGate, and Google Scholar;
- Reuse the article freely in their own future work, including books, theses, lectures, and websites.
💸 6. Article Processing Charges
The journal funds its operations through Article Processing Charges paid by authors of accepted manuscripts. APCs are requested only after final acceptance — there are no submission charges, review charges, or post-acceptance fees beyond the APC. The journal applies a structured APC waiver scheme based on the corresponding author's institutional affiliation and the World Bank country classification. 🏢 7. Funding and Sustainability
IJTIMES is published by KG Publication. The publisher is funded through APC revenue, with operational costs underwritten by the publisher during periods when APC revenue does not fully cover hosting and infrastructure expenses. The publisher does not derive income from advertising, sponsored content, or sale of subscriptions. Full details are on the Publisher page.
🔒 8. Long-Term Preservation
The journal is committed to the long-term availability of published articles, regardless of any future change in the journal's operational status. Preservation arrangements are described on the Archiving and Preservation page.
🔗 9. Persistent Identifiers
Every article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) registered with Crossref. The DOI provides a permanent, citable link to the article record.
