Abstract
Usage of various types of fibres in concrete have been tested to find out the optimum percentage of those fibres to be replaced as a fraction of cement. Compressive and flexural Behavior and strength of concrete reinforced with hybrid fibres is investigated by replacing cement with Fly ash and Rice husk ash. Steel fibres and glass fibres are used in different proportions and their optimum values are determined. Based on the literature studies, steel fibres are added as 0.25%, 0.5% and 0.75% by volume of concrete. Similarly 0.25% of glass fibres by weight of cement is added. Fly ash and Rice husk ash are used to replace Ordinary Portland Cement by each 20% by weight of cement proportions. Totally, 40% by weight of cement is replaced with rice husk ash and fly ash
