Abstract

Air-conditioning contributes significantly to high energy consumption in commercial buildings. It is essential to monitor and evaluate the performance of air-conditioning systems to avoid unnecessary energy wastage. This paper presents the results of astudy carried out to evaluate the performance of an actual building air-conditioning system. The results of the air-conditioning system’sperformance and thermal comfort analysis are presented and a comparison is made to the different locations of supply air flow. In this investigation various locations used for Air Conditioning air flow supply. Room designing and analysis performed in ANSYS CFD tool. Three rooms used with same dimensions at different locations of Air conditioner unit in room. Thermal conditions of room optimized with ANSYS CFD tool.
