REVIEW OF MICROGRID TOPOLOGY AND DIFFERENT POWER SHARING STRATEGY

Abstract
Micro sources, loads and storage system together forms Microgrid. It may be AC, DC or Hybrid. Micro source means it’s having very small capacity. In AC microgrid AC microsources (Wind turbine, small generators) and AC loads directly connected to AC bus whereas DC microsources and DC loads are connected with DC-AC converters. Similarly, In DC microgrid DC microsources (Solar PV, Fuel cells) and DC loads directly connected to DC bus whereas AC microsources and AC loads are connected with AC-DC converters. So only AC or Only DC microgrid requid more number of converters. Solution is Hybrid microgrid which reduce number of converters (AC-DC-AC & DC-AC-DC). In Hybrid microgrid all AC microsoures and AC loads are connected to one bus (AC
bus) and all DC microsoures and DC loads are connected to another bus (DC bus) and then interlinking converter (I.C) links AC bus as well as DC bus. Power flow control for I.C also reviewed at last in this paper also different power sharing control strategy reviewed for AC-DC micro grid.
