Abstract
In this Study, the advanced mechanical as well as various improved properties of cement are discussed when modified with graphene. Graphene's ability to enhance and bestow new properties on various materials was something that has attracted scientists' attention well before the arrival of the 'Storm of the Century.' Its applications include anticorrosion or electro conductive coatings, lubricants, motor oils that greatly increase the efficiency and service life of components, and many more. We investigate the performance of graphene in improving mechanical properties of cement composites. The mechanical strength of graphene-cement containing 0.05–0.20 wt.% Graphene was measured and compared with that of cement prepared without Graphene. We find that the tensile strength of the cement mortar increased with Graphene content, reaching 0.15%, a 40% increase in tensile strength.
