A COMPARATIVE STUDY ON ANALYSIS OF RCC FRAMED STRUCTURE USING VISCOUS DAMPER AND TUNED MASS DAMPER

Abstract The earthquakes are most dangerous and unpredictable in nature. The seismic behavior of the structure is always an area of concern and requires special attention from structural designers. Presence of plan irregularity further complicates the seismic behavior of the structure. and also make the structure more vulnerable to seismic forces. Push over analysis has gaining property as an effective tool to quantify the seismic vulnerability of structures. Push over method is a good method deal with irregular structure. Current research objective is to know seismic performance of structure when we apply various dampers to the structure like Viscous damper and Tuned Mass Damper. In current research a G+10 Storey RCC irregular structures has been modeled and analyzed. The parameters compared are Storey displacement, Storey drift, and also time period. An attempt was made to study and quantify the improvement in seismic capacity of the structure. The result of analysis reveled that the dampers applied to the structure reduces displacement, drift, and time period.

Structural Design of Fuselage

Abstract Aircraft structural design initiates with the consideration of major components such as wings, fuselage and empennage and with a formation of limits of maximum load factor at any flight velocity that an aircraft can withstand i.e., the flight envelope or V-n diagram. Fuselage is the main structural component that carries most of the weight and provides the connection to other component. The current work includes structural design of the light sports aircraft (LSA) single seater for the requirements of +6/-5 G limit loads constraints. The objective of the paper is the structural design of fuselage for the given requirements. Structural design is done such that it should have the enough strength even when the aircraft is performing high angle of attack i.e. at 6g and at negative angle of  attack i.e. at 5g performance. Design procedure was followed by each parts structural designing. The geometry of the fuselage is
considered as szmplified hollow tube without any cut-outs and divided into bays and skin panels. By modelling the aerodynamic, gravity, ground reaction forces and internal pressure a free body diagram and force/moment distribution is created for several flight and ground load cases, like +6/-5 G flight, lateral gust or landing load cases.The critical load cases are used for analysis.

A TRAFFIC FLOW ANALYSIS AND HIGHWAY CAPACITY OF NH44 (PHAGWARA TO LUDHIANA)

Abstract The overlong main north-south National Freeway in India is National Highway 44 (NH 44). It originates at Srinagar and finishes in Kanyakumari. This freeway covers the regions of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and TamilNadu. We learned around 45 km of street length from Phagwara to Ludhiana. In which we discover different issues related with that road like a blockage, speed constraint, mishaps, dark spot, crest hour movement stream, the normal speed of the vehicle. Transport division assumes an imperative part in enhancing and upgrading the financial state of any nation or states. Performance Evaluation of Diesel Engine Working On Unheated and Preheated Diesel and Karanja Oil Blends

Abstract Energy is a basic requirement for economic development and almost all petroleum product vitality utilization in the transportation division is from oil (97.6%), with a limited quantity from flammable gas.Karanja is medium sized tree and is found throughout India and can be a good alternative to the depleting fossil fuels. The tree is drought resistant. A thick yellow-orange to brown oil is extracted from its seeds and yields of 25% of volume are possible using a mechanical expeller. A single cylinder, four stroke, consistent speed, water cooled, direct infusion diesel engine put in NIT Kurukshetra was utilized for the investigations. The plans were made for preheating the fuel utilizing waste heat of fumes gases from the engine through heat exchanger. The experiments were conducted on some blends (K10, K20, K30, and K40) of diesel and Karanja oil at different loads. Graphs plotted between SFC (Specific Fuel Consumption) and BHP (Break Horse Power)helps to see the variation of specific fuel consumption with respect to BHP for diesel and the blends of Karanja oil. Hence, this study investigate the performance of diesel engine working on unheated and preheated Karanja oil blends with diesel and compare them that of diesel oil.

Plumbing System in Low Rise Building

Abstract In today’s era the potable water distribution systems are nowadays divided into major and minor distribution systems. Mostly the Major water distribution networks system refer to municipal pipe systems which are carried from the treatment plant to city ,suburbs and all parts of the water service line for buildings. Minor water distribution systems, is nowadays given greater importance as plumbing water distribution systems, which run from the upstream point of the water service line to all interior plumbing fixtures and demand points associated with the building. The research papers focus on major systems, but a small number of important documents are needed a concerning the design and analysis of minor systems. This paper presents a comparative statement evaluation of contemporary plumbing water distribution system, Drainage and rain Water systems. All underlying theory is explained and advantages and drawbacks for any building.

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF R.C. MOMENT RESISTING ASYMMETRIC FRAME UNDER SEISMIC LOADS USING NON-LINEAR DYNAMIC ANALYSIS

Abstract Engineering structures are often very complex and difficult to analyze for their dynamic, or vibrational, seismic behavior. Structures subjected to force such as earthquake must be structurally resisted as they are dynamic in nature.Hence, structure’s response is also dynamic and that’s what causes the unsafe and uncomfortable conditions. Modern performance-based design methods require ways ofidentifying the structure’s realistic behavior of structures under such conditions. To determine structural response beyond the yield point, out of two types of nonlinearity i.e. material and geometrical, material nonlinearity is considered in present paper. Incremental dynamic analysis (IDA) as well as Static Pushover Analysis (SPA) includes performance- based structure analysis. But incremental dynamic analysis is pretty accurate, and this method can obtain actual response of the structure from the particular earthquake
considered earthquake. It involves conducting a series of nonlinear dynamic analyzes in which the intensity of the ground motion selected for the collapse investigation is incrementally increments until the global collapse capacity of the structure is reached. In the present Paper, non-linear dynamic of reinforced concrete 8 storey building is carried out. The above frame is designed as per provisions of IS-456:2000, IS-1893(Part1):2016. Nonlinear Time History Analysis (NLTHA) & Incremental Dynamic Analysis (IDA) of above frames are performed using SeismoStruct Software. NLTHA and IDA will be performed for set of 6 artificial ground motions. Finally, Performance evaluation is done from the performance criteria mentioned in ATC-40 and FEMA-356 in terms of displacement profile and Interstorey Drift profile.
