Abstract GA are robust, efficient and optimized methods that are used in getting solutions to number of search and optimization problems. In this paper, we use a genetic algorithm with focused crawling for improving the accuracy of similarity measure. As information has been increasing rapidly, it is very difficult to get information as per the user satisfaction. A focused crawler is a web crawler which gives relevant pages according to users query.Genetic Algorithms (GA) are optimization algorithms inspired by the Darwin's theory of natural evolution and survival of fittest.

Literature review on planning proposal for parking facility: Parul University, Vadodara

Abstract Parking on Parul university campus has long been a difficult proposition Rising student enrolment and the necessary additional faculty and support staff have increased demand for parking. Projected campus population growth will only exacerbate the problem. The increasing number of private vehicles in campus has been inducing detrimental effects on the campus in terms of increase in traffic congestion, lack of park space, damaging vehicles and form long queue on the road, and parking lots facility is very far from the all department so that it is taken more time to reached destination. The purpose of this paper is the parking utilization pattern at the park and ride facility and the factors influencing the demand for the park facility based on data from literature review. The analysis includes determining methods of parking lots design and manages to available space in campus and given proposal to management of the department.

Traffic Speed Flow Model For The Mix Traffic On Vadodara Arterial Road

Abstract The traffic in mixed flow can be classified as fast moving and slow moving vehicles or motorized and non motorized vehicles in India. The vehicle also deviate in size manoeuvrability, control, static and dynamic characteristics.

The effect of curve on speed under the mix traffic condition is carried out in present study. Thus, the purpose of this study is to calculate the capacity of the urban arterial roads. The study and research consists of analyzing the arterial Vadodara roads which are divided in four lanes. A part for straight stretch, curve stretch also selected to study the reduction of the speed. By considering the straight road section, the speed flow model is developed.

Literature review on Optimization and Coordination of the Signal Timings

Abstract Traffic on the existing road increasing due to rapid urbanization and industrialization has caused extremely growth of vehicles all over the world. Due to this, some problems like congestion, delay and pollution remain in question if the signal is not coordinated. The basic function of most arterial streets and roadways is to move traffic safely and efficiently with minimum delay. The main source of delay and congestion along most arterial streets and roadways are traffic signals. Too often motorists are required to make unnecessary stops because adjacent traffic signals bear no relationship to each other. This results in longer travel times and increased vehicle emissions and fuel consumption which reduce air and noise pollution. Coordination of signal is achieved when a platoon achieve green phase at successive intersections. Coordination is done by time space diagram of various cycle lengths.

GAIT RECOGNITION THROUGH MICROSOFT KINECT : A REVIEW

Abstract Human gait is an important biometric of an individual. It can be used to identify person based on the analysis of its gait. The front and back view features of gait are extracted using Microsoft kinect, which includes soft biometrics, Skeleton kinematics or FGEI feature extraction. The sensor can also calculate angle, distance or Centroid between body joints. Silhouette images are used to extract the features using normalization and centralization technique. Gait recognition can also be performed using Goniometer and Wearable sensors. This paper focuses on the study of various techniques used to obtain, compute and compare various features and their accuracies obtained for analyzing gait of a person.

Abstract Pavements are major assets of highway infrastructure. Maintenance and rehabilitation of these pavements to the desired level of serviceability is one of the challenging problems faced by pavement engineers and administration in the highway sector. The evaluation of pavement performance using pavement condition indicators is a basic component of any PavementManagement System. Various indicators like Pavement Condition Index (PCI), Potehole Index(PI),Alligator Cracking Index(ACI),Longitudinal Cacking Index (LCI), Traverse Cracking Index (TCI), Rutting Index (RI),Roughness Index (RI), Structural Capacity Index etc. have been commonly used to assign a maintenance strategy for the existing pavements.

CONSTRUCTION STAGE ANALYSIS OF CABLE STAYED BRIDGE

Abstract Cable-stayed bridges are widely used as engineering structures to across long span bridges. In the analyses of Cable-stayed bridges assumed that the structure is built and loaded in a second. This type of analysis does not always give the perfect results. Because, during construction of the structures continue along time and due to loads such as equipment and form travel and others may be changed during this period. Therefore, construction stages and time dependent material properties should be considered in the analysis to get the perfect results.The aim of the study to performing the construction stage analysis of cable-stayed bridge using software. Geometric non-linearity are taken into consideration in the analysis using P-Delta (∆) large displacement criterion. Time dependent material properties such as compressive strength, aging, shrinkage and creep for concrete, and relaxation for steel are considered. The bridge structures at different construction stages has been examined. Two different models with and without construction stage is to be carried out and the results are compared with each other. In this study the variation of the displacement and internal forces such as bending moment, axial forces and shear forces for deck and towers. The shape of the bridge can then be achieved and constructed.

ANALYSIS OF RADIX 2^4 SDF PIPELINE FFT ARCHITECTURE

Abstract This paper describes the implementation of a R24 SDF Pipeline FFT Architecture using hardware description language Verilog HDL simulated up to 1 MHz for transformation length 16-point. A hardware oriented radix-24 algorithm is derived by integrating a twiddle factor in the folded transformation technique. The single-path delay feedback architecture is used to exploit the spatial regularity in signal flow graph of an algorithm [7]. For length-N DFT computation, the hardware requirement of proposed architecture is minimal on both dominant components: log4N-1 complex multipliers and N-1 complex data memory. In this paper, we present a 16-point FFT module, which reduces the multiplicative complexity by using both real and complex constant multiplications. In order to reduce the hardware complexity pruning technique is used.

Abstract MANET is kind of mobile ad hoc network. MANETs are having self organizing and self configuring network and there is no centralized base station. Multi hops wireless networks are self organizing in MANETs and process of communication in take part in the all mobile nodes and forwarding the data packets in this process. In routing forwarding the data packets on one node to another node is core problem in the networks. Overcome to this problem to build up challenging task an efficient routing algorithm in MANET. The node’s batteries operated in MANET and improve the network lifetime.

Literature review on a laboratory study of thickness design of flexible pavement by the CONSOLID system in black cotton soil

Abstract With rapid growth of population, fast urbanization and more construction of buildings and other structures has resulted in reduction of good quality available land. There is no choice for People except to use soft and weak soils around for construction activities. Such soil possesses poor shear strength and high swelling & shrinkage. The South Gujarat region in India have majority of top soil as black cotton soil. The black cotton soil has characteristics of shrinking on drying and heaving on wetting. This soil being expansive creates several types of damages to pavement structures, and in some cases the pavement may even become unserviceable. A laboratory investigation is carried out to study the effect of COSOLID SYSTEM on index and engineering properties of the Black Cotton Soils. The properties of stabilized soil such as compaction characteristics and California bearing ratio were evaluated and their variations with content of consolid 444 and solidry are evaluated and also to evaluate the improvement in properties by the addition of consolid 444 and solidry to be used in pavement design for economy. A consolid system also reduces thickness of the pavement and save resources and construction time. A comparative study of pavement thickness design by IRC METHOD is also done.

Abstract This is small summary about Human activity recognition. I display a technique for perceiving human exercises utilizing data detected by a Microsoft Kinect. Movement acknowledgment expects to perceive the activities and objectives of at least one specialists from a progression of perceptions on the individual's activities and the ecological conditions. Human activity recognition method is consisting of single-layered approaches and hierarchy approaches. Human activity recognition performed using kinect sensor for taking images as an input and Sequence of Skeleton matrix obtained from kinect is further applied to various classification algorithm .Classification algorithm taken into account are such as K-NN, SVM, J48 classification.

Abstract The growth of Indian manufacturing sector depends largely on its productivity & quality. Productivity can be improved by reducing the total machining time, combining the operations etc. In case of mass production where variety of jobs is less and quantity to be produced is huge, it is very essential to produce the job at a faster rate. This is not possible if we carry out the production by using general purpose machines. The best way to improve the productivity along with quality is by use of special purpose machine. SPMs or Special Purpose Machines offer tremendous scope for high volume production at low investment and at low cost of production when compared to VMC machines. SPM, Special Purpose Machines is a high productivity machine, with specially designed tooling and fixture, dedicated for mass producing the same component day in and day out. This paper show the way of development of SPM for drilling and riveting operation. The concept of SPM is that the plate having different size and thickness are drill on drilling spindle first and then tapped on tapping spindle latter, with the use of guide ways. Both the operation performs on same machine having two separate spindles. This machine is containing automation by using pneumatic system

Seismic analysis of cable stayed bridge with different pylon shapes

Abstract Cable stayed bridge are the most flexible bridge then other bridges and getting popularity because it represent optimum solution for ever expanding range of span and aesthetics . This work focused on the effect of shape of pylon on the transverse seismic response of cable stayed bridge for that the dimension of deck and other parameters are kept constant only the shape of the tower is varied, such as H-shape, inverted Y shape, inverted Y shape with lower diamond, A shape, A shape with lower diamond. This work also gives the essential information of the fundamental vibration mode which is based on mechanical and geometrical property of the structure. Which is required in early stage of design until optimum solution is not made. Five tower shapes of the lateral cable-system layouts are to be considered. The 3D model of the cable stayed bridge is generated in SAP-2000(VER.18) and it is analyzed seismically Bhuj 2001, Earthquake India. The response of bridge is studied in the terms of natural time period, displacement in transverse direction of pylon along the height, base reaction. This study reveals that the shape of the pylon play an important role in seismic response of cable stayed bridge. Inverted Y shape pylon is better in resisting when earth quake strikes from transverse direction.

Energy audit analyze the causes of drastic losses of energy which occurs in industrial buildings due to larger thermal loads, heat losses, poor efficiency, larger specific consumptionin the different equipment. Energy audit identifies whether, where and how loses are occurring. Improvement in energy efficiency gives the advantage to industry in terms of profit may be directly or indirectly. This topic provides an explanation of the energy audit procedure for commercial or industrial buildings. Literature review on comparative study between lime & different percentage of rice husk ash & baggash ash in black cotton soil

Abstract The Black cotton soil tends to swell and shrinks when come across with various temperature so its undesirable in terms of engineering consideration. The main objective of the investigation is to Study between lime & different percentage of rice husk ash & baggash ash in black cotton soil and assess the usefulness Of agricultural and industrial waste as a soil admixture, and focused to improve the engineering properties of soil to make it capable of lower layer of road construction. This investigation describes the behavioral aspect of soils mixed with industrial waste materials viz. Lime, rice husk ash (RHA) & agricultural waste material Baggase ash (BA) to improve the load bearing capacity of the soil.

Optimisation of welding parameters of Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) of EN 24 & SS409 stainless steel for better Tensile strength and Hardness

Abstract The dissimilar metal joints have been emerged as a structural material for various industrial applications which provides good combination of mechanical properties like strength, corrosion resistance with lower cost. Selections of joining process for such a material are difficult because of their physical and chemical properties. The stainless steel and mild steel (dissimilar material joints) are very common structural applications. Joining of stainless steel and mild steel is very critical because of carbon precipitation and loss of chromium leads to increase in porosity affects the quality of joint leads deteriorate strength. In order to obtain a good quality weld and control weld distortion, it is therefore, necessary to control the input welding parameters. In this research work, experiments has to be carried out to investigate influence of welding parameters on tensile strength, and hardness of flux cored arc welding (FCAW) by using experimental welding of EN 24 & SS409 stainless steel of 6 mm thick. The research will be applied Taguchi Method on an austenitic stainless steel specimen of dimensions 100 × 100 ×6 mm, which have following interested parameters: various arc current, arc voltage and gas pressure.

The operations include view of Progress Report, History records, Personal details, Attendance, Co-curricular, Extracurricular, Alerts, Notification can be accessible to the user. Alerts specify any sudden news or current status to the users. These alerts can only be posted by the HOD or the Principal or staff to the other users, Students,ts can view the alerts and act accordingly. They cannot post any alerts on the application. Users can do customize search of the details. Notification is the process of submitting a report to a particular student from either the staff or the HOD or the Principal.

In order to increase the standard of the institution, an analysis is performed on the students’ data and the visualization is obtained from which meaningful insights are produced. These insights help to identify the necessary steps that are to be taken in order to take the students and the institution to the next level. Insights are obtained for placement and admission process of the students.

Educational Data Mining on students’ academic performance using Clustering technique

Abstract The student database needs to be analysed and the useful information is to be extracted by the educational institutions to focus on improvement in the student records. The performance indicators of students are to be observed as they may count on varied factors including their learning methodology, environment they are associated with, their place of stay and so on. Data Mining comes up with its techniques and applications to satisfy the needs. Educational Data Mining, an emerging application of data mining used principally on student data is applied here to discover knowledge from the largely available data. Clustering of students is done using K-means based on their scores where students of the same cluster show homogenous characteristics with one another and the interesting hidden patterns among the students are mined. Here, R tool provides an extensive platform to accomplish the mining process. The reports are generated in the form of visualization through graphs
