Survey on Location-based Routing Protocols in Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network

Abstract Vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET) is a wireless ad-hoc network created by short range communicating mobile vehicles where vehicles exchange traffic related information over a wireless link. Due to the mobility nature of the vehicles, the vehicles change their network topology frequently that turns into link breakage among vehicles. Link breakage cause delivery of the data packets from the source node S to the destination node D is a very difficult task. There are many challenging issues to be addressed when employing VANET which have not been addressed efficiently yet. The aim of this paper is to compare the various concepts used in the field of VANET and provide an efficient solution for Location-based Routing in VANET by comparing various algorithms so that an
efficient reliable connection can be made in VANETs.

A Review on Dark Channel Prior to Haze Removal Using Visibility Restoration Techniques

Abstract This paper provides an analysis of different image dehazing approaches to eliminate haziness from hazy images captured in real-world weather circumstances to achieve quick & enhanced haze-free image quality. Haze creates problems in different applications based on computer vision and image processing, as it diminishes the brightness of the scene. The dehazing of photographs is amongst the most relevant areas of research in image processing and design study. Haze is an ambient reaction, obviously. Its research looked at different haze reduction techniques used during image analysis systems to dehaze activity. The restore of clarity plays a leading role in several applications for image processing. Outdoor photo vision is often impaired by the appearance of clouds, rain, sand storms, etc. Reduced visibility induced from atmospheric phenomena is forcing image analysis systems to crash. The Dark Channel Prior is the type of haze-free outdoor photo figure. And thus, using an Image processing technique, it obtains a haze-free image of high quality.

Selection of Solar Panel using Multi Criteria Decision Making Techniques

Abstract Solar energy is one of the largest sources and most utilized resources of renewable energy. It is an inexhaustible, easily available and non polluting source of energy to overcome the energy crisis in the developing countries. Solar power generation is the best alternative compared to the conventional power generation practices when economic burden and environmental efforts are taken into consideration. Solar energy is harvested using photovoltaic cells. Solar Panel consists of an array of photovoltaic cells and plays a vital role in solar power generation. The main objective of this study is to select the best solar panel model among various alternatives available on the market which assures better efficiency with reduced cost. Selection of solar panel involves both subjective and quantifying criteria. The Criteria Importance Through Inter-criteria Correlation (CRITIC) method is used to find the objective weights of the criteria considered. Complex Proportional Assessment Method (COPRAS) and Preference Ranking Organisation Method for Enrichment Evaluation (PROMETHEE II) are employed to select the best solar panel. Both the methods selected the alternative P6 as the best solar panel which has higher efficiency, less weight and low cost when compared to the other alternatives taken into consideration.

To determine the viability of utilizing the Egg shells as an alternate to cement, an Egg shell powder is used in different proportions 10%, 20%, 30% and 35% by weight of cement. To discover the fine composition which brings about optimum percentage of strength, Concrete is cast and carries through Compression test and tensile test.

STABILIZATION OF SOIL USING WASTE FIBER POLYPROPYLENE

Abstract To utilize the industrial waste, a challenge is made to stabilize the black cotton soil by adding polypropylene fibers. Large acres of land are occupied by industrial waste, which creates environmental problems also with a scarcity of land. To evaluate the effect of the addition of 0%, 0.25%, 0.50%, 0.75%, 1.0%, 1.25% polypropylene fibers to stabilize the black cotton soil and verify its suitability to be used as a construction material for road, embankment and structural fills is investigated in the region of Black cotton soil. Its consistency properties, compaction properties, and strength parameter are also analyzed in this paper.

GEO-5 Based Landslide Susceptibility Assessment of National Highway 66 From Mahad to Mangaon, Maharashtra, India

Abstract A landslide can be defined as the movement of the mass of rock, debris, or earth down the slope. Environmental impacts including heavy rainfall in study area affects several sectors of the Mahad-Mangaon region, triggering many major and minor landslides and causing severe loss. Slope stability is the process of calculation an assessment of the required stress a particular slope managed before the failure criteria. GEO5 software determines the factor of safety of the desired slopes. The aim of this project is to determine the slope stability of the region belonging to the Ghat sections of Sahyadri mountain region of Maharashtra mainly from NH-66Mahad to Mangaon (27km) using Geo5software. Factors including the soil cohesion, angle of internal friction, and unit weight of soil is determined using the lab experiments. Total station surveying is done to obtain the coordinators of the study area
which is used as input for the Geo5 software.

Abstract Building area expose to sunlight or increasing temperature has demanded for more cooling system. So multidimensional path can be followed by using natural stone as tiles and blocks in construction. Use of natural stone will help to reduce the energy consumption, increasing level of global warming and will maintain the interior floors and walls of room cool. Property such as thermal conductivity, resistivity and diffusivity and other characteristics of a natural stone become an important factor in selecting them in construction purpose. Natural stone can have minimal carbon footprint in construction and multidimensional development. The naturally available and economic material can be used to partially replace the artificial product which harms the environment. Natural stone used in construction purpose were studied and their thermal properties were calculated by using thermostatic oven and infra
red thermometer and result was manipulated with cement and ceramics tiles and blocks.

A STUDY AND ANALYSIS OF FSW WITH DISSIMILAR ALUMINIUM ALLOYS AA7075 AND AA3014

Abstract Friction Stir Welding (FSW) may be a solid state welding process during which the relative motion between the tool and therefore the work piece produces heat which makes the material of two edges being joined by plastic atomic diffusion. This method relies on the direct conversion of energy to thermal energy to make the weld without the appliance of warmth from conventional sources. The rotational speed of the tools, the axial pressure, welding speed and therefore the tool profile are the principal variables that require to be controlled so as to produce the required combination of warmth and pressure to make the weld. The scope of this investigation is to guage the effect of joining parameter on the mechanical properties of dissimilar aluminium alloys AA3104 and AA7075 joints produced by Friction Stir welding using CNC vertical machining centre. The Brinnel hardness and durability of the joints are considered for the investigation. The results show that for optimal stir zone hardness, FSW parameter combination of 1200 rpm tool rotational speed, 10 mm/min welding speed and cylindrical tool profile should be used. For optimal joint durability, the acceptable parameters combination is 1200rpm, 20mm/min and taper thread tool profile. From the investigation, it's concluded that tool
rotational speed is the major influencing factor for mechanical properties like durability and hardness.
