SOLAR POWERED LED STREET LIGHT WITH AUTO INTENSITY CONTROL

Abstract The System is designed for LED based street lights with an auto intensity control that uses solar power from photovoltaic cells. Photovoltaic panels are used for charging batteries by converting the sunlight into electricity. It is interfaced with LDR for precise switching operation. The Intensity of street lights is required to be kept high during the peak hours. As the traffic on the roads tends to decrease slowly in late nights, the intensity can be reduced progressively till morning to save energy. Thus, the street lights switch ON at the dusk and then switch OFF at the dawn automatically. The process repeats every day.Light Emitting Diode (LED) can replace the High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamps where intensity control is possible by Pulse Width Modulation. A programmable Microcontroller Atmega328P of Arduino is engaged to provide different intensities at the different times of night using PWM technique for saving the energy.

DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF COOLING AND HEATING EFFECT IN SHOES USING PELTIER EFFECT

Abstract : In this work we are going to design and fabricate a peltier shoe. This shoe is helpful for working in difficult weather conditions. This peltier cell works on the principal of peltier effect, which is a reciprocal of seebeck effect. By this work, we are able to make the comfortable temperature inside the shoe. It helps the people, working in the hot weather conditions like thermal power plants, cement industries etc.

We are going to place 12V - 9AMPS peltier in each shoe and this peltier will work with the help of DC Current (Battery). The peltier cell consists of 2 surfaces one surface becomes cold and the other becomes hot due to electrons transfer this cold and surfaces are reversed by just reversing the direction of current. Inside the peltiers there will be P-N junction diode like structure, made of two different metals having high difference of electron density. The higher the density difference the higher the performance of peltier cell and vice- versa.

Thus this product will solve many industrial problems for the people working in high temperature conditions and it may introduce to the persons serving for our country without afraid of different temperatures at the border.

Experimental Evaluation of Glass Fibre reinforced Geopolymer Concrete (GFGPC)

Abstract This paper present the effects of glass fibre on strength and durability properties of Geopolymer concrete. Strength properties were studied through compressive, flexural and split tensile strength tests.Durability properties were explored through the results of water absorption and sorpitivity tests. Locally available fly ash from the industries was used. Sodium silicate and sodium hydroxide were used as alkali activators and its ratio is kept as 2.7. Alkali solution to fly ash ratio as 0.35 and glass fibres was added with the variation of 0.005% to 0.035% by volume of concrete. The strength parameters of Glass Fibre Geopolymer Concrete (GFGPC) were made compared with the control Geopolymer Concrete (GPC). Glass fibres, In spite of being tensile nature, the Glass Fibre Geopolymer Concrete (GFGPC) has increased its compression, flexural and split tensile strength of about 10.5%, 57% and 39% respectively. It was observed that the maximum strength values were attained at the inclusion of 0.025% of glass fibres and further adding by 0.005% there is decrease in strength of about 3.4%, 3.2% and 0.6% as compared to 0.025% inclusion.

Production of Cost effective cooling using Eco-cooler

Abstract Thermal comfort is defined as “that condition of mind which expresses satisfaction with the environment”. This condition is also sometimes called as “neutral condition”. A living human body may be likened to a heat engine in which the chemical energy contained in the food consumes continuously converted into work and heat. The rate at which the chemical energy is converted into heat and work is called as “metabolic rate”. A human body is very sensitive to temperature. The body temperature must be maintained with a narrow range to avoid discomfort, and within a somewhat wider range, to avoid danger from heat stress.

Present project deals with providing cost effective cooling using eco-cooler. Eco-cooler works on the principle of Latent Heat Storage (LHS) technique which is provided by using PCM (Phase Change Material).The reason for adoption of eco-cooler to provide cost effective cooling is drawbacks of passive cooling system like high initial building cost, requires more planning to reduce glare, require
engineering expertise. In eco-cooler reduction of air temperature is achieved using PCM based evaporative cooling system.

Eco-cooler is best suited to hot and dry climatic regions like Anantapuramu. Basically anantapuramu is backward region, where rural population is high compared to urban population. Majority of this population cannot afford conventional Air conditioning system. So an effort is made to test and implement the proposed eco-cooler which has yielded a cost effective solution to the cooling problem. In the present project comparison of temperatures with dry and wet basis is performed. The room temperature is found to be reduced by 1 to 2℃ less than ambient temperature.

IOT BASED ELECTRICITY ENERGY METER READING THROUGH INTERNET

Abstract The main objective of the project is to develop an iot based electricity meter reading displayed for units consumed and cost there upon over the internet. A digital meter whose blinking LED signal is interfaced to microcontroller through LDR the blinking LED flashes 3200 times for 1 unit the LDR sensor gives an interrupt each time the meter LED flashes to the programmed microcontroller,micro controller takes this reading and displays the it on an LCD duly interfaced to the microcontroller.the reading of the energy meter is also sent to Ethernet shield module being fed from the micro controller via level shifter ic and RS 232 link which transmit data directly to a dedicated web page for display any where in the world. The power supply consists of a step down transformer 230/12V which steps down the voltage to 12V AC. This is converted to DC using a bridge rectifier and it is then regulated to 5V using a voltage regulator 7805 which is required for the operation of the microcontroller and other components.

Design and Fabrication prototype of Maglev vertical axis wind turbine

Abstract The main aim of the project is to design and fabricated a prototype vertical axis wind turbine and test the maximum power generated. The positions of the blades of wind turbine is mechanically assembled closer to the rotating shaft, which will have a rotor with required number of blades which is connected to a shaft and coupled to DC Generator through gear mechanism.

The maglev wind mill uses drag force of wind then it passes through aero foil shaped blades. Aero foil shaped blades used to convert kinetic energy of the wind into the mechanical work. The magnetic levitation used is between the rotating shaft and the fixed base of the machine. This magnetic levitation is reducing the friction loss between the shaft and the bearing then the total wind energy is converted to maximum mechanical work.

Abstract The Geopolymer or Geopolymerisation or Geopolymer concrete is the best innovative concrete material which is produced by chemical process with industrial waste. General method of Geopolymer concrete is a homogeneous mixer of fly ash or steel waste (GGBS), fine aggregate, course aggregate and alkaline solutions. The industrial combustion waste fly ash and the steel plant waste (GGBS) are the base material for Geopolymer concrete. Alkaline solutions are prepared by mixing of silicate and hydroxide. By Geopolymer process of binding material the requirement of cement is reduced and emission of carbon-dioxide in atmosphere will reduce. High volume replacement of industrial waste or slag for development of concrete saves a lot of natural resources and energy which reduces the manufacture of Portland cement. In the present work, an attempt has been made to establish the mix proportion to Geopolymer Concrete by flyash with steel waste (GGBS). To study the compressive and tensile strength of Geopolymer Concrete and to prove that the new alternate concrete material is eco-friendly.

Real Time Vehicle Monitoring By IOT Application

Raspberry Pi 3 using Sensors are used to detection of condition without relying. This sensors are cautiously monitoring the different parameters like Engine temperature, vibration, Brake Temperature, Brake links, Oil level in Engine, Fuel level in tank. These sensors will collect the data from different parameters of vehicle and Raspberry pi 3 gather this data. From the Raspberry Pi 3 the data will sent to the main server. Through that server, the user can get completed information of that vehicle condition. By using this IOT application user can able to proper monitoring and maintained of vehicle condition.

AN IOT BASED SMART WATER MONITORING SYSTEM AT HOME

Abstract The advancement of science and technology using present trend pacing at a high speed. The trend of trend of IOT based technology is being applied in various applications of home like water level monitoring and leak detection in pipes.

Water is one of the most important substances on earth. People now days always want something that can make their life easier. In this thesis is used to define the water monitoring systems such as Tank water level sensing monitoring, water pollution monitoring and water pipeline leakage sensing monitoring. By using Wireless Sensor Technology we avoid the huge amount of water is being wasted by uncontrolled use of large apartments/offices.

The microcontroller (PID) based Water level monitoring is used to indicate the level of water in the tank to agent. Leak detection in water pipelines, we use the pressure into the pipe using on force sensitive resistors (FSR) generated from a leak is detected, it will be indicated by an increase in the LED meter and a rushing sound will be heard in the headset. This thesis our motivation is to prevent the water by using technologies and the monitoring system uses daily life device like laptop or mobile phone. The unnecessary wastage of power also can also be cut down by this system. It can be low cost installation on a rural home and can be extended to bigger projects also.

Abstract water is the basic necessity for human along with food and air. There is a little pure water left on earth and nearly all of this polluted by both pollutants and toxic chemicals. For this reason, purification of water before consumption is extremely important. Solar desalination is one of the cheapest methods for distilled water production. Single basin solar still is a popular solar device used for converting available brackish water into portable water. Because of its lower productivity, it is not popularly used. The basin still is developed by adding the condensing unit. In this study was conducted by testing the solar still by using the condensing unit with a single glass cover. It has been observed that condensing unit attachment gives the higher productivity and efficiency as compared to the single basin solar still without condensing unit.

Abstract Dam is a solid barrier constructed at a suitable location across a river valley to store flowing water. For flow of water dissipation, we provide baffle block to upstream and downstream side, In Downstream side (from spillway) providing for energy dissipation and Upstream side to reduce the velocity of water. Baffle block is described as to control of flow of water or number of normally identical elements arranged in one or several rows orientated perpendicular or inclined to the direction of flow to direction of dam structure. Baffle blocks are providing to upstream ,for prevention of Hydraulic Failure, seepage Failure, Structure Failure, To prevent direct impact of water on dam structure, Maintenance of dam can be easy, Prevention of obstacles like fish ,animal body ,etc. , To save the life, prevention of flood, Durability of dam, we can provide maximum height of dam for future plan, strength of dam increases because of baffle blocks, Maintenance cost reduce, pressure like Uplift pressure, Wave pressure, Silt pressure, Wind pressure, etc. will reduce , Total forces of water is in inclined direction. Construction of dam is very costly but once, it takes long time for construction as compared to other dam.

Novel Control Strategy for Modular Multilevel Converter based Variable Speed PMSM Drive

Abstract This paper introduces a control conspire for the modular multilevel converter (MMC) to drive a variable-speed ac machine, particularly concentrating on enhancing dynamic execution. Hypothetically, the energy balance in the MMC cell capacitors is prone to be unstable at start-up and low-frequency operations. Also, the MMC topology basically requires propelled control procedures to balance energy and mitigate the voltage pulsation of every cell capacitor. This paper proposed a control system for the vigorous dynamic reaction of MMC even at zero output frequency utilizing leg offset voltage infusion. The leg offset voltage for balancing the arm energy is delivered by coordinate estimation without the circulating current control circle controller. The ac machine has been driven from stop to evaluated speed without intemperate cell capacitor voltage swells using the modern Fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is proposed methodology. The simulation outcomes check that steady operation and compare the outcomes is ensured down to <2% of the evaluated speed under 40% phase stack torque aggravation.

Abstract Bitumen or Flexible pavements are the most commonly used type of pavements in India. The main objective of pavement design and management is to build sustainable pavement structure with minimum costs during its whole life. Because of high temperature roads that are laid, especially in water prone areas are highly getting damaged due to heavy traffic. The bitumen that is available in India is of cheap quality, not gives good strength and stability to the pavement. Therefore, it is important to apply pavement stage construction technique during the process of pavement design and management to minimize the risk associated with these uncertainties. Bond condition between layers in a rigid–flexible composite pavement is a key factor affecting the durability and maintenance of the pavement. The findings of this study could provide an important reference for choosing interlayer asphalt material for rigid– flexible composite pavements. The paper investigates and compares the magnitude of restrained temperature stresses that can be achieved in both a rigid pavement and a flexible pavement with a grouted macadam surfacing.

DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF PLASTIC MULCH LAYING MACHINE IN AGRICULTURE

Abstract The use plastic mulch in agriculture has been increased dramatically in the last 10 years throughout the world. This increase is due to the benefits such as increase in soil temperatures, easy of weed management, moisture conversation, reduction of certain insect pests, high crop yields, and more efficient use of soil nutrients. So a problem is arisen for laying mulch.

The plastic mulch laying machine is a combination with engine, mainframe with hoeing blades, hole punching wheels, drip role holder and chain drive mechanism. The machine lay the mulch in combination with the drip pipe on the prepared plantation bed. This will lay mulch on the bed without damaging of the mulch and also it will punch the holes at the required measurements. The product may be widely used for the agriculture in cultivating of tomatoes, watermelons, muskmelons, and some other hybrid variety crops.

The plastic mulch laying machine may also resolves the problem of skilled labour and time consumption of laying mulch, drip and hole punching at the exact position. This may give immediate solution in cultivating methods in agricultural sector.

SOIL STABILIZATION BY USING FLY ASH, LIME AND WASTE PLASTIC IN EARTHEN ROAD

The effects of initial and pozzolanic reactions were investigated. The addition of carbide lime to the soil-fly ash mixture caused short-term changes due to initial reactions, inducing increases in the friction angle, in the cohesive intercept, and in the average modulus. Such improvement might be of fundamental importance to allow site workability and speeding construction purposes. In addition, under the effect of initial reactions, the maximum triaxial stiffness occurred for specimens molded on the dry side of the optimum moisture content, while the maximum strength occurred at the optimum moisture content. After 28 days, pozzolanic reactions magnified brittleness and further increased triaxial peak strength and stiffness; the maximum triaxial strength and stiffness occurred on the dry side of the optimum moisture content. The waste material such as fly ash, lime and plastic increase the soil stability and reduce the cost of construction.

A REVIEW ON SEISMIC PERFORMANCE OF MASONRY STRUCTURE DURING PAST EARTHQUAKES

Abstract The present work investigates the performance of masonry buildings during the most severe past earthquakes both national and international. The majority of the buildings in the affected region were built of masonry. The structure shows different types of damage pattern for low to severe earthquake conditions. Most of the masonry buildings were formed with random or coursed stone and mud brick walls without any reinforcement and confined masonry buildings. Many of these buildings were damaged or had collapsed. Generally three types of failure mechanism define the behaviour of masonry structures namely, sliding shear failure, diagonal shear failure and flexural failure. Confined and reinforced masonry buildings shows relatively good performance in comparison with other masonry buildings. The damages are due to several reasons such as poor construction quality and poor workmanship of the buildings. From the census in India majority (more than 80%) of the buildings is masonry. Thus the present study shows the need of retrofitting of masonry structures in India.

Abstract Water is vital for sustaining all forms of life on earth. Treatment of domestic wastewater before its disposal into the environment was not given much importance until the recent past. This was due to increased contamination rates of surface and ground water sources. Domestic wastewater treatment is becoming even more critical due to diminishing water resources and resulting water scarcity especially during summer in many parts of the country. Aeration is one of the methods which help in the removal of various contaminants present in domestic wastewater. During the past decade, pond aeration systems have been developed which will sustain large quantities of fish and invertebrate biomass. Dissolved Oxygen (DO) is considered to be among the most important water quality parameters in fish culture. Fishponds in aquaculture farms are usually located in remote areas where grid lines are at far distance. Aeration of ponds is required to prevent mortality and to intensify production, especially when feeding is practical, and in warm regions. To increase pond production it is necessary to control dissolved oxygen. Artificial intelligence (AI) techniques are becoming useful as alternate approaches to conventional techniques or as components of integrated systems. They have been used to solve complicated practical problems in various areas and are becoming more and more popular nowadays. This project presents a new design of diffused aeration system using fuel cell as a power source. Also fuzzy logic control Technique (FLC) is used for controlling the speed of air flow rate from the blower to air piping connected to the pond by adjusting blower speed. matlab simulink results show high performance of fuzzy logic control (FLC).

Abstract oil and petroleum products will become very costly and scarce. Efforts are being made throughout the world today to reduce consumption of liquid petroleum fuels wherever it is possible. With increased use and depletion of fossil fuels, alternative fuels technology will become more essential. This led to the search for an alternative fuel which should be not only environment friendly but also sustainable without compromising on the performance. Many alternative fuels such as It is believed that crude Jatropha oil, Honge oil, canola oil and citronella oil gave improved performance and they are renewable, clean burning and having properties analogous to that of diesel.

Today, in developing countries like India, most of the transport vehicles are run on the diesel fuel. Diesel fueled vehicles discharge significant amount of pollutants like CO, HC, NOx, lead, soot which are harmful to the environment. Also the world’s fossil fuel reserves are depleting rapidly due to enormous growth of population and increased usage of technology.

The biodiesel fuels are most promising alternative among the different diesel alternatives. However high viscosity, poor volatility and cold flow characteristics of biodiesel fuels can cause some problems such as injection chocking, severe engine deposits filter gumming, piston ring sticking and thickening lubricant oils from long term Diesel engines.

Such problems can be eliminated by thermal barrier coating (insulation) on engine parts such as cylinder head, piston crown, valves etc. by atmospheric plasma spray technique. The diesel engine rejects 30% energy to coolant and 30% energy to the exhaust leaving only about 30% energy is the useful work. If the heat rejection could be reduced then the thermal efficiency energy would beimproved when compared with the without coated piston.

The objective of present work is determine the performance and emission characteristics of 4-stroke single cylinder diesel engine using honge oil with dimethyl carbonate as an additive on Chromium Carbide coating on piston crown as thermal barrier.

In concrete production aggregate is the cheaper material as compared to cement and maximum economy is obtained by using as much aggregate as possible. Aggregates also improve the volume stability and the durability of the resulting concrete. Light weight concrete has become more popular in recent years owing to the tremendous advantages it offers over the conventional concrete. Even Light concrete but at the same time strong enough to be used for the structural purpose. The present study deals with natural light weight pumice aggregate. The study aims at finding out the sustainability of pumice stone as a construction material, its cost effectiveness and the reduction in density produced by using it as a replacement of coarse aggregate partially in concrete. In this research strength characteristic of M40 grade concrete is tested in two ways. In one way the aggregate is partially replaced with pumice aggregate (LWPC) with different percentages like 20%, 40%, 60% 80% and 100%. In another way aggregate is partially replaced pumice along with 20% common partial replacement (LWPC+20% MK) of cement with metakaoline powder in same percentages.

It is a special type of high performance fiber reinforced concrete (HPFRC). This consists of high strength fibers infiltrated with cement based matrix which differs from steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC).The addition of higher percentage of fibres ranges from 4-20%
against the limit of 3% fibers in SFRC because of the balling effect of fibers. Matrix may be cement slurry or flowing mortar with sand passing through 1.18mm sieve. Fibers serves as an excellent crack arrestor, helps in reduction of stiffness degradation and increases cumulative ductility and energy absorption capacity. Sifcon is capable of sustaining higher loads with very less deflection and the regions with SIFCON are found to be intact after ultimate failure. It also helps in the reduction of shear reinforcement in the congested areas by its sufficient shear and bond strength. SIFCON has potential for applications such as beam column joints, repair and rehabilitation, retrofitting and explosive resisting structures. This paper presents reviews on SIFCON, its advantages and applications and concludes that SIFCON is superior to conventional concrete in terms of flexural, shear, axial tension and compressive strength. It details the experimental investigations and analytical computations in SIFCON.

Abstract The composite polystyrene (PS) membranes were prepared in toluene solvent system for pervaporation of hydrazine/water mixtures. Hydrophilic NaA zeolite was incorporated to the extent of 10 - 40% of polymer weight to enhance separation properties. The nanofillers were incorporated into the polymer to reduce degree of swelling and improve selective nature with respect to water. Sorption studies were carried out in water, hydrazine hydrate binary mixture of varying compositions to establish membrane–liquid interactions. Membranes were characterized by FTIR, XRD and SEM to study formationof functional groups and intermolecular interactions, degree of crystallinity and d-spacing, besides surface morphologies of the composite films, respectively. Effect of feed composition, temperature, membrane thickness and downstream pressure on the membrane performance was evaluated using the optimum 40% zeolite-loaded membrane. For a feed mixture containing 36wt% water, a selectivity of 124.89 at a reasonable flux of 32.45 g/m2h was observed. PS membrane appears to have considerable potential to dewater highly alkaline solvents owing to its ability to separate hydrazine hydrate. The composite nature of the membrane makes it feasible to fabricate modular configurations for scale-up.

Abstract Concrete is the most abundant manmade material in the world. One of the main ingredients in a normal concrete mixture is Portland cement. However the production of cement is responsible for approximately 5% of the world’s carbon dioxide emissions. In order to create a green world it is needed to develop the replacement of cement as a green building material. It is estimated that the production of cement will increased to 3.2 billion tons from 2.2 billion tons till 2018. On the other hand, the climate change due to global warming and environmental protection has become major concerns. The global warming is caused by the emission of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide to the atmosphere by human activities. The production of Portland cement and the mortar preparation involves the emission of carbon dioxide, thus by replacing the Portland cement there can be reduction in the carbon dioxide emission. The thermal power plants produce fly ash in a very large amount. More than 175 million tonnes of fly ash is produced every year; this would require 40000 hectares of land for disposal. The Ministry of Power, Govt. of India estimates 1800 million tonnes of coal to be used every year and 600 million tonnes of fly ash generated by 2031-2032.Now the problem arises for its disposal. Continuing on working in direction to find the alternative for the cement, the concept that the fly ash is also having binding property has been employed. This leads to the direction to work on the replacement of cement from the concrete by fly ash.
Therefore the focus to work in this direction acquainting with the idea that the replacement of cement is possible with fly ash and this alternative to regular concrete is known as Geopolymer Concrete (GPC). In this paper full replacement of cement with fly ash to produce the Geopolymer concrete was studied in detail. To produce the Geopolymer concrete, the constituent materials used are fly ash (which is a bye product obtained from thermal power plants) and the alkaline activators. The alkaline activators used in this study for the polymerization are sodium hydroxide (NaOH) in flakes form and sodium meta-silicate (Na2SiO3) in gel form. The objective of the present work is to compare the strength parameters of the Geopolymer concrete with Concrete made with Ordinary Portland cement (OPC) and also to see the effect of various conditions such as the curing time, curing temperatures on the strength of geopolymer concrete by the replacement of the cement with Fly Ash and Alkaline Activators. For this cube specimens are casted of size 150mm x 150mm x 150mm for compressive strength test & the cylinder specimen of size 150mm dia., 300mm height for split tensile strength test. The casted specimens were kept in the oven at 60°C and 120°C for 24, 48 and 72 hrs to ascertain the behaviour of geopolymer concrete, and to know the maximum strength we can achieve by Geopolymer concrete.

NUMERICAL STUDIES ON MACH FLOW CHARACTERISTICS OVER BACKWARD FACING ROUNDED STEP THROUGH HYBRID RANS-LES

Abstract The fluid flow behaviour, involving density, vorticity and Mach number distributions, over a backward facing rounded step is studied by developing a 2D numerical model associated with the hybrid RANS-LES/SpalartAllmaras turbulent model, comprising a viscosity-like variable. The model incorporates fundamental issues like production, diffusion and destruction effects. Numerical simulations are performed with inflow free stream Mach number of 2.5 asociated with free stream pressure and velocity of 15350 N/m2 and 651.9 m/s2, respectively. The simulation results of density, vorticity and Mach number are noticed to be realistically even and also along the expected lines throughout the whole flow regime. It is found that both vorticity intensity and Mach number are relatively more at the expansion fan near the lip of the separation and near the reattachment shock, however, the fluid density is comparatively low at the same. It results in comparatively weak shock generations. In addition, it is also observed that the recirculation vicinity i.e. dead air region has attained the least fluid density, vorticity and the Mach number because of inviscid rotation. Furthermore, both density field and Mach number help us in getting whether the fluid flow is compressible or incompressible in behaviour. Above and beyond, the gradual change i.e. expansion/contraction within the flow field causes the vorticity generation resulting in relatively sound, smooth, flawless and favourable flow behaviours. Eventually, the recirculation vicinity is noticeably very small and due to this there is reduction in reattachment length.

Speedfloor Technology is an new emerging field in the construction of steel structure which is already been used in Australia, Newzealand and other western countries. Speedfloor, the unique suspended concrete flooring system, is an innovation to the building industry. Speedfloor is quick and easy to install. Speedfloor is a lightweight, cost-effective system that's perfect for multi-storied residential or commercial buildings and parking garages. Compared to normal constructions the walls used are EPS(Expanded Polystyrene Panels) walls. Its weight is less compared to Brick masonry and it provides diaphragm action. The overall weight of the structure is reduced and the composite floor is provides with ply wood as base and is removed once the deck has hardened. The spacing of the beams can be decided based on the vendor
input.Complicated and high rise structures need very time taking and cumbersome calculations using conventional manual methods. STAAD Pro provides as a fast , efficient, easy to use and accurate platform for analyzing and designing structures.

Embedded Linux based smart security system using IoT and raspberry pi processor

Abstract The project aims at designing an intelligent access control system based on finger print technology. the propose system make use of finger print module for authentication process and an electromechanical relay switch to control door locking system for door accessing. The system also supports with camera based image capturing technique when any wrong finger print was detected and alerts through email from wireless Wi-Fi connectivity.

The raspberry pi processor is a low cost, credit -card sized computer that can be used in electronics projects. It is capable device that enables people of all ages to explore computing, and to learn how to program in languages like scratch and python. It is capable of doing everything you would expect a desktop computer to do, from browsing internet and playing high-definition video, to making spreadsheets, wordprocessing and playing games.

In this project we make use of a finger print module, Wi-Fi module, and raspberry pi processor. The processor reads the input from the finger print module and when the authentication details are correct then the system automatically opens the door lock and closed after predefined time using relay switch. The database of the operation of the door along with timings gets stored in pc application using Wi-Fi wireless communication. The system also captures the image of the user who provides wrong authentication of finger print and sends alerting message with image to the predefined email using Wi-Fi wireless communication to pc application.

Effect of annealing temperature on nano structured bi- layer thin films of Antimony and Tellurium

Abstract Antimony telluride (Sb2Te3) has high thermoelectric performance at room temperature. It has high electrical conductivity and high thermoelectric power with low thermal conductivity. In present work nano structured bi-layer thin films of Sb and Te of thickness 28 nm were fabricated on Si substrates using vapor deposition technique. These Bi-layer thin films were annealed at different temperatures of 100°C and 300°C and the variation in structural, morphological and Electrical properties were studied. It is reported that good quality bi-layer thin films of crystalline structured having optimum electrical properties have been formed.
