Performance Evaluation and Remediation of Waste Water by Typha Plant

Abstract Typha and aquatic plant was grown for phytoremediation treatment for waste water. The concentration of waste water were in range 0 (control), 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100%. Maximum value were observed in the range 40 to 60% waste water for fresh matter yield, dry matter yield, chlorophyll and ascorbic acid content, and catalase activity of Typha plant. Overall it is concluded that waste water can be used for irrigation or crop plant after phytoremediation treatment with aquatic plant.

So, now a days a new and advance dosage form namely aerosol dosage forms (or Pulmonary dosage forms) such as Pressurized metered dose inhalers, Dry powder Inhalers and Nebuliser solutions or suspensions gets attraction and became more popular due to its so many advantages over the classical pharmaceutical dosage forms.

pMDI (Pressurized metered dose inhaler) is one of the aerosol dosage form. pMDI dosage form is mainly used for the treatment of respiratory diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and Asthma. Key components of Pressurized metered dose inhaler device are Aluminium Canister, Metering valve and Actuator. It contains propellants such as HFA 134a or HFA 227ea and formulation inside the canister. These devices are mainly multi dose devices and are known for consistent pre-metered delivery of drug in the form of short burst of aerosol cloud directly to the lungs of the patient. Aerodynamic particle size distribution is very important parameter in testing of pMDI products. Advanced analytical instruments such as Anderson cascade impactor with vacuum pump and Flow meter is used for analysis of aerodynamic particle size distribution.

Abstract Now a days, the major goals of latest investigations are to minimize greenhouse gas emission and reduce the energy required for production of materials in construction industries. The manufacturing process of ordinary Portland cement emits greenhouse gases. Geopolymer binder is an eco-friendly material, good alternative to ordinary Portland cement. In this study, geopolymer mortar contains fly ash, natural fibres, fine aggregates and activator solutions. The activator solutions are combination of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and sodium silicate (Na2SiO3). The purpose of this study is to briefly review the activator solution and mechanical properties of fibre reinforced geopolymer mortar.

Because of high temperature at cutting zone, the possibility of built up edge formation on cutting tool is occurred that’s why the tool wear is increased. The major problemfaced by any industry isto obtain theoptimal machining input parameters and minimize the cutting temperature and toolwear of a super alloy. In present work impact of cutting conditions (cutting speed V, feed rate f, depthof cut d) onoutput parameters (i.e. cutting temperature, Tool wear) have been studied during face milling of Nimonic 75 withcryogenic treated titanium Carbide Insert. Machining parameters are optimized by RSMbased BBD Technique, using thedesirability analysis for minimizing the cutting temperature, and tool wear. The study indicated that the optimalparameters for Multi Response Optimization were found to be at cutting speed(N) 2499.99 rpm, feed rate (f) 499.9 mm/min and depth of cut (d) 0.3 mm

electricity markets. Since the same generating capacity supply energy and reserves, it is advantageous to have the scheduling of energy coordinating with the reserves. This paper proposes an algorithm for joint optimization of energy and spinning reserve, and for the pricing of spinning reserve. In this paper, the design and testing of an IOT based device that is capable of analyzing the sensed data and transmitting it to the user is presented. This device can be implemented in crop fields and grain stores for security reasons and can be controlled and monitored from remote location. OPTIMIZATION OF FACE MILLING PROCESS PARAMETERS USING RESPONSE SURFACE METHODOLOGY

Abstract Maintaining good surface quality usually involves additional manufacturing cost or loss of productivity. During the process high cutting frictional forces lead to rise in temperature at workpiece and tool interface which may affect the dimensional and surface quality of the product. Optimum machining parameters can reduce tool wear, to ensure better surface integrity and machining cost. In this paper, the machining parameters i.e. cutting speed (v), depth of cut (d) and feed rate (f) has been optimized for improved surface finish using response surface methodology (RSM). The optimization of the surface roughness (Ra) and tool wear (Tw) has been done  simultaneously by multi response optimization technique and also a mathematical relation between response parameters and input process variables has been developed. The optimized process parameters obtained from machining through RSM were cutting speed of 175.7 m/min, feed rate of 400 mm/min and depth of cut of 0.50 mm, corresponding Tw and Ra were 49.44 µm, 11.38 µm
respectively.

Abstract Concrete is the backbone for all construction and development activities entire the world. Concrete as a construction material are classified into normal concrete or high strength concrete based on its compressive strength. Generally construction industry needs faster development of strength in concrete as well as better performance characteristics like durability, shrinkage, creep and so on. Among all the characteristics chloride penetration which comes under durability property leads more damage to the
structure as it consists of reinforcing bars. Rapid chloride permeability test is conducted to the concrete specimens to know the chloride penetration. High strength concrete is a concrete mixture, which possesses a high durability and high
strength when compared to conventional concrete. The use of some mineral and chemical admixtures like micro aluminium oxide, silica fume and Super plasticizer enhance the strength, durability and workability qualities to a very high extent. A mineral admixture introduces favourable behaviour with respect to shrinkage and high development of heat of hydration and enhances durability. Low water/cement ratio is a crucial aspect which can be achieved by using chemical admixtures such as superplasticizer. The present study is carried out on M60 grade of plain cement concrete with different percentages of micro Al2O3 by weight of cement. In the present experimental investigation cylinders of 100mm x 150mm of M60 grade concrete were cast with varying percentage of micro Al2O3 of 0%, 0.5%,1% and 1.5%. The rapid chloride permeability tests were conducted for a period of 28, 60 and 90 days.

Abstract Pre Engineered Building type of structures are extensively used as industrial structures which consists of channel steel purlins spanned between the rigid frames and also with the wall cladding at sides Pre Engineered Buildings structures which are less height structures are useful for houses, offices, showrooms etc were as conventional structures need longer time for constructing and also costly for larger length spans and also require heavier foundations. In the present work to find the wind effects on pre-engineered buildings Pre Engineered Buildings structures, with x bracings at the ends are considered in analysis of structure having material grade properties Fe250 steel and structure sizes along height is 10m from the foundation or footing top, length of shed is 184m and width of shed is 40m, column to column distance in shed is 8m. Base conditions as pinned base and structures are analyzed using STAAD Pro with wind
velocities 33, 39,44,47,50 and 55m/s as per IS 875-3. It is observed that the structures subjected to higher win velocities are more affected, and also observed that the sections are optimized for bracings and purlins, bracings optimized section is PIP1937L and purlins optimized section ISMC150

It will increase the spread of the influence but the problem is that to finding the most influential nodes in network. There is one Algorithm called as Greedy algorithm used for mining top-K influential nodes. It has two components: dividing the post of social network into several communities by taking into account information diffusion and selecting communities to find influential nodes by a dynamic programming. Using Location Based community Greedy algorithm is used to find the influence node based on Location of the user and we can sort out the influence for particular Area. There is one more Serious problem in social network is that there are so many malicious attacks spread by the people and that malicious contents are hidden behind some attractive posts. i.e viral marketing techniques in the promotion of new products or posts like how much luckiest today or what does your name meant or post which states the giving you iphone in lesser prize or giving them free samples of the product  etc. such posts in social network may be harmful to users which has the negative intention of stealing the personal information user. So the takes the advantage of such usage history of ads i.e. rating of such posts the system analyses the that products impact on social media users and predicts the positive or negative category for that posts which is beneficial for future users on social media. So we need to find out that post and block them.

Abstract Tunnels have become an inevitable part of the urban transport systems, having greater demands now-a-days. Along with advantages of tunnel, it comes with deleterious effects on the structures adjacent to its alignment, which may be due to vibrations / volume loss of the soil material. Tunnelling may pose serious problems to the buildings which are historically important, vulnerable, old etc. There are
various measures to mitigate the effect of tunnelling on the adjoining structure. Providing series of micropiles along the tunnel alignment is one such measures. In this study, analyses of micropiles are carried out using MIDAS GTS 3D software. The various parameters considered for analyses are length, number & spacing of micropiles, type of soil and foundation. Reduction in settlement of raft & pile foundations due to provision of micropiles were evaluated and optimum number, length & spacing of micropiles were decided from the analysis.

DEVELOPMENT OF DELAY EQUATIONS AT SIGNALIZED INTERSECTIONS IN HYDERABAD

Abstract Performance of any signalized intersection is evaluated in terms of level of service which is based on vehicle delay. The delay relates the time lost by the vehicles while crossing intersections. As the vehicle arrivals are random in nature and it is difficult to estimate correctly, the delay can be determined by different models viz., deterministic queuing, steady-state stochastic and time-dependent stochastic models. The assumptions made in these models make the delay estimation simpler or at least to a reasonable level
of acceptance. The present research is involved with development of vehicle delays at selected isolated intersection in Hyderabad. Detailed field studies have been conducted at an isolated signalized intersection in Hyderabad by video-graphic technique. The vehicles arrival rate, times lost in waiting in front of the stop line and departure rate are obtained from these videos. The developed delays models can be used for prediction delays at any other such isolated signalized intersection, with the similar traffic conditions.

Abstract This paper represents the initial steps in the development of a water distribution and quality monitoring system. This system is based on a wireless sensors network to detect and locate in real time any change in water quality, quantify its importance, evaluate its consequences and determine the most appropriate actions to be taken to limit its effects. First, we start with determining an optimal location of the quality control points of the water. Then, we move on to the development of an anomalies detection algorithm which detects the contamination and malicious acts in the water distribution system. Finally, taking into account the environmental parameters of our system, we propose a data aggregation method in order to minimize the energy consumption of the source nodes and to reduce the network load.

Assessment of C.I Engine Performance and Pollutants with Dissimilar Biodiesel Blends

Abstract Performance and pollutant parameters of selective biodiesel such as neem, linseed, polanga and tobacco and were compared in this study with diesel. The test has been completed on a direct injection, water cooled, single cylinder, diesel engine at steady-state conditions. During this test, brake thermal efficiency, specific fuel consumption and toxic pollutants were measured. The experimental results indicated that biodiesel generally give more BSFC and lower BTE relative to diesel, owing to the calorific value of the biodiesel.  The pollutant toxic emission analyses showed that biodiesel gives lower NOX emissions and higher hydrocarbon and smoke emissions when compared to diesel. But O2 content in the biodiesel lessens the CO emission. Hence, it was clearly showed that the various biodiesel can be effectively run and provide better performance and also reduced pollutants without any engine alteration

Implementation of DMIAC Methodology to Improve Process Capability in Needle Bearing Manufacturing Company: A Case Study

Abstract This paper presents a case study done in bearing manufacturing company for improving process capability of cage manufacturing section of the company. This objective is accomplished by the application of DMAIC methodology to quality enhancement research work in the particular needle bearing manufacturing industry. Paper presents Six Sigma approach through five different phases of DMAIC methodology which are: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC). For defining critical to quality parameter, rejection data of last one year was taken from red bin kept in rejection area. From the collected data, it is observed that there were ten types of rejection generally occurred while inspection of bearing and as per the count of rejection data Pareto analysis was done. From Pareto analysis it is observed that there were only two main rejections which were responsible for 70% of total rejection. These both rejection types were related to pocket size of bearing only. For the undertaken project SIPOC and ARMI (Approval, Resource, Member, Interested party) diagram was formed to fix responsibility for the project work. Current level of process capability and Sigma level were calculated in measure phase and histogram chart was formed with the help of Minitab software. Then in analyze phase Root cause
analysis was done by forming fish bone diagram and accordingly Failure Mode Effect Analysis(FMEA) was done to find out most vital causes for these particular types of rejection. Within analysis phase itself all key process input variable and key process output variables are examined and shown in process flowchart against each step of process. During improvement step, Design of Experiment (L-27 Orthogonal Array) was applied on welding parameters responsible for pocket formation of welding cage. Accordingly ANOVA was used to find out significant parameter for the rejection. To find out other vital issue related to rejection along with their possible solution, brain storming session was arranged consequently some inherent vital issues were came out which later on solved by the company. After implementation of finding of DOE and the brainstorming session it is observed that the process capability of the system was improve and at the same time Sigma level of the process also enhances significantly. Hence this research work shows the importance of Six sigma and its application in various medium scale company through DMAIC methodology.

But, such buildings are highly gets damaged during earthquake in highly seismic zone as compared to regular building. Structure with the floating column must be sound enough to resist earthquake forces. The earthquake forces developed at the different floor levels in the building need to be brought down along the height to the ground by the shortest path, if any deviation or discontinuity such as floating columns results in poor
performance of the building. In this study, the effect of floating columns on RC frame G+9 structure has been studied for zone III. This work is done to study the response of RC frame building with floating columns under earthquake loading. For all the models of the building, response spectrum analysis is carried out. Abstract Corrosion behavior of Aluminium AA6063 alloy was tested in 0.5 N HCl in presence of various concentration of ethanolic extract of Lawsonia alba Lam. Leaves. The inhibition efficiency was evaluated by chemical and electrochemical methods. Inhibition efficiency was found to increase with increase in concentration of ethanolic extract of Lawsonia alba Lam. Leaves. Kinetic, thermodynamic and adsorption studies were made. Kinetic studies shows that the mechanism follows first order kinetics. Thermodynamic studies for the inhibitor-metal interactions clearly indicate that adsorption of ethanolic extract of Lawsonia alba Lam. Leaves extract on AA6063 in acid medium follows Langmuir adsorption isotherm. The nature of adsorption was evaluated as physical adsorption. The Potentiodynamic polarization results confirm that ethanolic extract of Lawsonia alba Lam. Leaves extract act as mixed inhibitor.

Abstract The objective of this study was to investigate the influence of Corn Cob Ash on Hot mix Asphalt Bituminous Mixture and compare the mechanistic properties with conventional hot mix asphalt through the laboratory testing programs. Hot mix Asphalt (HMA) is mainly used for construction and maintenance of bituminous roads in India. In the present study HMA is partially replaced with Corn Cob ash for the construction of flexible pavement. The conventional method of road construction involves the burning of bitumen to a higher temperature and mixing it with aggregates and then laying the pavement. So, our study is to partially replace that HMA with Corn Cob Ash (CCA). Corn Cob is the central cylindrical core on which the corn seeds are present. It is one of the agricultural waste products and it has many advantages in many industries as filters, fodder for live stock, bedding purposes for animals etc. Corn Cob Ash when used in Experimental study of partial replacement of Cement have yielded good results by increasing compressive strength, decreasing water cement ratio and it is environmental friendly also. Hence our aim is to check whether the properties of it would be suited as a partial replacement for bitumen binder. In this study an attempt is made to compare the Marshall properties and check its suitability for Partial replacement of bitumen for bituminous Concrete (BC) Grade-2.The adopted mixing temperature for HMA was 160ºC and for conventional mix the bitumen was taken at a rate of increment of 0.5% starting with 4%, 4.5%, 5%, 5.5% and 6%. Then for the optimum of conventional bitumen mix and then for optimum bitumen content (OBC) the replacement of Corn Cob Ash was done at a rate of increment of 2% beginning with 5%, 7%, 9%, 11%, 13%. The outcomes showed that the addition of Corn Cob Ash has matched with bitumen and gave the strength desired to that of the conventional bitumen mix. Hence this study highlights the scope of using Corn
Cob Ash as a partial replacement for bitumen and making bitumen economical.

From Structural Engineering point of view, the challenges to build such taller and taller structures are Wind and Seismic forces. On taller structures, the Lateral forces (Wind and Seismic) become predominant when compared to Gravity loads, because of which the building will be subjected to sway/lateral displacement, the result of which could be catastrophic. Many Structural systems were invented to cater sufficient stiffness to the building such that the sway/lateral displacement can be minimized. One such system is “Outrigger & Belt Structural system”.

Abstract Human hip joint is the one of the most complex joint in the body. Now a day’s, many people are facing problems with hip pain. It is due to decrease in calcium content in the bones and wear in the hip joint. In order to reduce the hip pain doctors choose to replace original hip joint with artificial hip joint. Trial and error method is adopted by the doctors during the selection of artificial hip joint, which is almost similar to the original hip joint. Artificial hip joints are different sizes which suits the patient is preferred by the doctors, which increases the operation cost as well as time to perform the operation .The artificial joint one must fulfil the requirements of biocompatibility, stability and mobility. Artificial hip joint with Ti-6Al-4V material can be manufactured traditional method as per the dimensions requires more cost and time. It is difficult to visualize for medical demonstration. In such adverse conditions it provides a quick and precise solution to the problem. CT scan data of hip joint is used to fabricate the prosthetic part on 3D printing machine by PLA material. In this project highlights are CT scan digital images of hip are taken and these images are measured using 3D Slicer and 3D tool software’s. These dimensions are used hip joint prosthesis three dimensional models are designed in Solid Works 18.0 software and all the components of hip joint prosthesis were fabricated in 3D printing machine. This is used mainly for medical demonstration.

Abstract Texting-while-driving (TD) is one of the fatal accident resulting behaviours of drivers. Till date many interesting systems and mobile phone applications have been designed to help to detect or combat TD. However, for a practical TD detection system, one of the key property is its capability to distinguish between driver’s mobile phone usage pattern and behaviour from passengers. As of now all the existing solutions are dependent on user’s manual input. Also they utilize specific GPS devices to determine whether a mobile phone is at driver’s location and in a particular position. In this paper, we propose a method which is able to detect TD automatically without using any extra devices thus a cost efficient method. The idea is very simple: when a user; (specifically Driver) is composing messages or misusing Smartphone while driving apart from regular usage, the Smartphone embedded sensors (i.e. gyroscopes, accelerometers, and GPS) collect the associated information such as touch strokes, holding orientation and vehicle speed. This information will b recorded and then be analyzed and categorised to see whether there exist some specific patterns similar to current recorded one. Extensive experiments were conducted by different persons and in different driving scenarios. The results show that our approach can achieve good detection accuracy with low false positive rate and thus focusing more on passenger’s safety on road. This system is infrastructure free and provides high accuracy. Also this method does not access the content of messages and therefore is privacy-preserving

Abstract Fiber Reinforced concrete has been widely used in civil Engineering. Fiber reinforcement is increased to improve the strength and durability of concrete. This paper represents the results from an experimental and analytical assessment of the influence and addition of steel fibers and mechanical properties of concrete. The various strength properties is cylinder compressive strength, tensile strength and volume fraction of the fiber. The strength of steel fiber reinforced concrete using the proposed models have been compared with the test data and present study and various other tests in the literature. The compressive strength of the concrete mixes was obtained from cylinder tests. The experimental findings to indicate the addition of steel fibers in concrete can slightly enhance the compressive strength, Tensile strength and modules of elasticity of the steel fiber reinforced concrete.

Cavities may leads to breaking of teeth. This partial dentures and effected teeth may create brutal problems to the patients. While having accidents there is a chance to breaking of teeth and may leads to severe problem to the patients. In order to decrease these problems doctors choose to replace original teeth with artificial teeth. In recent methods these artificial teeth is made up of chromium and zirconium materials, by using these types of materials it may cause high cost and time taking process for manufacturing artificial teeth. To reduce these factors a new innovative 3D printing technology is used to prepare artificial teeth. In this work an attempt has been made to manufacture artificial teeth by 3D printing technique using PLA material. By using this PLA material prototype model should be printed to give demonstration for medical students and improve the awareness of the patients. At first MRI scan/CT scan digital images of human teeth are taken and these images are converted to .STL (Standard tessellation language) file using 3D Slicer software. The required components were designed using the Modeling softwar (SolidWorks). These components are converted into .STL file. These components are printed by using 3D printing machine with PLA material. This is mainly used for medical guidance purpose.

Abstract Most of heavy Architectural structures today were built with glass fabrication, for the aesthetic looks. Due to present environmental conditions, those structures were filled with dust which became very difficult to clean manually. By using robotic technology most of the systems were developed for the same purpose, which were failed to reach elevated highly due to heavy body. In this project an automatic wall climbing robot was developed using the concept of pneumatics and programmable logic controller. Two pneumatic cylinders were used for the movement of up &down and right & left for wall gripping and the robot suction cups were provided on all sides of robot. The sequencing of the pneumatic cylinders pressure cups solenoid operated direction control valves which are further controlled by using a ladder logic in PLC. The sensors were provided on 4 sides of the robot for detecting obstacles such that it can automatically change the direction of movement. The size and weight of the robot was reduced by using minimum number of components in the system, which are necessary for efficient running of the robot and feasibility of vertical transportation

The High Rise structure comprises of a total of 30 story containing 3 parking levels and other living floors consisting of 8 flats on each floor level. The purpose of this project is to get an exposure in modeling a High Rise structure and analyze it and design the foundation system that is best suitable for the proposed structure. The modeling and analysis is done using ETABS. Different foundation systems have been designed for the structure using SAFE. In this project, various parameters are studied and compared for different load cases. The Codes, IS 1893:2002 for earthquake analysis and IS 875:2015 for wind analysis has been extensively studied and used for specifying various parameters

multistoried building parking storey is common in ground floor which will lead to weak storey or sift storey formation and this soft storey is not much capable enough to transfer the inertia forces generated due to earthquake. Therefore in this particular study we consider G+12 storied building symmetrical about longitudinal and transverse direction, 7 different mathematical FEM 3D models have been generated in ETABS2015, an attempt is made in this study to nullify the soft storey effect by incorporating lateral resisting elements in the form of shear wall and steel bracings. To evaluate the seismic response two types of seismic analysis have been done via linear equivalent static and linear dynamic (response spectrum analysis) have been performed as per IS-1893-2002 and 2016. FEM modeling have been done by considering columns as frame element having 6DOF at each node, slab, shear wall and masonry infill

EFFECT OF ALKALI TREATMENT ON THE WATER ABSORPTION OF PINEAPPLE LEAF FIBER

Abstract To develop a high strength biocomposite material, it is highly required to make a good interfacial adhesion between the natural fiber and polymeric resin. Due to the presence of a hydroxyl (OH) and other polar groups in various constituents of cellulosic fibers, the biocomposite materials absorb moisture in humid environment condition which leads to poor interfacial adhesion, dimensional instability and loss of mechanical properties. Therefore, it becomes requisite to impart hydrophobicity in cellulosic fibers by employing an appropriate chemical treatment process. In this work, experiments were performed to analyze the effect of an alkali treatment of various concentrations (2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10%) on the water absorption behavior of pineapple leaf fiber. Characterization of fibers (both untreated and alkali treated) have done by using FTIR and FE-SEM techniques. The results show that an alkali treated fibers look cleaner, and fiber bundles are more separated with a highly serrated surface due to the removal of wax, adhesives, hemicellulose, and gummy substances. Changes in the peak at 1730, 1525, and 1244 cm-1 in FTIR spectra corresponds to the partial removal of hemicellulose and lignin after alkaline treatment. The results indicate that the 8% NaOH treated pineapple leaf fiber absorbs maximum water in distilled and river water and fibers treated with 10% NaOH shows maximum water absorption in hand pump water. This was due to the presence of cavity, holes, and micro-pores on the surface of PALF after alkali treatment.

Abstract Multi story buildings are common in urban region. Day by day they are becoming more slender, generally multi story buildings are of open ground story. Due to parking at ground story the architectural planning will be disturbed in upper story therefore structural engineer has to initiate floating columns from first story, so as to have ground story open for parking. Floating columns have to be supported by transfer girder or reinforced concrete deep beam. The analysis and design of transfer girder or transfer plate should
have more concentration as far as displacement and stress analysis are concern. To this particular study simply supported and continuous transfer girder have been considered, transfer girder taken are subjected to huge point load generated from the floating columns. A detail stress and displacement analysis have been done for both the girder by considering the web openings for understanding the behavior of transfer girder or plates and finite element modeling with different element sizes have been done to have a greater accurate evaluation of result using the software SAP 2000.Different types of loadings like Impact load in the form of triangular function time history function, Impact load in the form of trapezoidal time history function and Sinusoidal loading has been considered. Results obtained from this study has shown us greater amount of stresses and displacements with respect to the applied loadings and openings when considered. Finite element modeling has shown us greater accuracy and precise evaluation of results.

FABRICATION OF SIMULTANEOUS DRILLING AND GRINDING MACHINE

Abstract In present days worldwide industrial sectors are done drilling and grinding operations with separate machines. So we can invent the fabrication of simultaneous drilling and grinding machine. This machine is mainly designed for simultaneously drilling and grinding operations, this machine is runs with bevel gear mechanism. Bevel gears are attached to the AC motor rotating shaft with help of bush rod like differential manner, electric power is needed for drilling operation. Already stepped pulley and bevel gear is fixed on AC motor rotating shaft. Now power is transmitting motor pulley to drilling machine pulley through the belt. Grinding operation can be done on both sides, one is clock-wise direction and another one is anti-clock wise direction. This machine is mainly used in production
industries and domestic purpose.

Abstract Incremental forming is a sheet metal forming process characterised by high flexibility. This process is requires in-depth studies to know the influence and the optimization of certain process parameters. This paper is focused on matter formability in incremental forming. The different staring situation in the material and accordingly to the determination of forming limit diagrams for progressive forming operation. This paper presents the investigation on influence of annealing temperatures in formability and dimensional accuracy in single point incremental forming process in stainless steel grade 304 of 0.5 mm thickness is used for measuring strains. Screen printing method by circular grid mark was used for measure strains. These strains uses for generating forming limit curves stainless steel grade 304. total work is complete by forming cone shape by CNC milling machine for measuring strains, surface roughness, dimensional accuracy, shear thinning and forming time in the overall geometry.DOE have been read the effect of forming
dimentions such as: Annealing temperatures, tool diameter ,step size, feed rate and spindle speed these are the input parameters. Here in this process the deformed tools with hemispherical shapes are used. Investigation on influence of annealing temperatures in formability and dimensional accuracy in single point incremental forming process on stainless steel grade 304. The hardness of the stainless steel 304 is more so to reduce the hardiness heat treatment process (process annealing) is performed at 550°C, 575°C,
600°C and 625°C. Results are analyzed with ANOVA to know the influence of input parameters to output responses and TOPSIS and GRA multi objective optimization methods are used to predict the optimum results

Abstract In present days of competitive environment all the companies across the world are trying to reach the market demand and increase the profits with out increasing the cost of the product.It can be achieved by reducing the losses with of high productivity and good surface finish.So it can be done by optimizing the process.Machining of hard metals,complex shapes with of traditional manufacturing is difficult.It is replaced by unconventional machining process.EDM is one of the unconventional machining processes used to
machining hard metals,complex shapes with of metal erosion technique by using all electro conductive materials. In EDM machine cutting paramets selection plays a crucial role to optimizing the process.Output parameters are affected by cutting parameters, considered in these experiment are discharge current, pulse on time, duty cycle. Output parameters are considered as material removal rate and surface roughness woring on C70600, C71500 workpiece materials by using brass, copper, tungsten carbide tools. Taguchi L27 orthogonal array is used to designing the experiments. TOPSIS(technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution) method and GRA(gray relation analysis) optimization technique will be used to optimizing the process.It is used to choose the best level of the design variables.Consequently,it reduces the differentiation in product and process to the least.Finally the best tool-work-piece combination is obtained.This obtained results provides useful information to control the process responses and ensure higher productivity.Accuracy and enhanced surface quality.

Abstract A large number of cement concrete pavements have been constructed in India on all categories of roads in order to have durable maintenance-free roads even under adverse conditions. The pavement might be over designed or under designed. It is necessary to determine the actual pavement design parameters such as strength of concrete and modulus of subgrade reaction by back
calculation from field tests after the construction and reassess actual life of the pavement. One of the most difficult exercises for a pavement engineer is analyzing deflection data collected with FWDs have been in use for over 30 years; the methods to process the data are far from perfect. Engineers, based on the deflection, their experience and judgments, can take appropriate measures to prevent continuing damage to concrete pavements. Structural evaluation exercise should include load transfer at the transverse and longitudinal joints so that necessary measures may be taken to retrofit dowel and tie bars before extensive damage occurs. The
deflection data can be used to detect voids at transverse joints, longitudinal joints, interiors as well as at the corners so that actions can be taken to fill up the voids by grouting to prevent large scale damage to pavements. This study may help to understand the periodical measurements, performance, traffic, climatic condition, etc.

Abstract Bearing is an essential component of any rotating machinery. Even a small crack or defect generated on bearing elements can cause machine breakdown and it can lead to major economical losses. A test rig has been designed and developed for experimental study of bearing vibration. The vibration response for healthy and defective bearing in dry and lubricated condition has been studied. The study of vibration response of the bearing having multiple defects on either of races and rolling element in both dry and lubricated contact is studied. The characteristics defect frequencies are visible in vibration response depending upon the location of defect on bearing elements. The effect of load, speed and defect size on vibration amplitude has also been discussed. This study holds important significance for condition monitoring and preventive maintenance.

DEVELOPMENT OF GEOPOLYMER MORTAR WITH ALKALINE SOLUTION

Abstract Geopolymer is the new technique which is produced from the alkali activated alumino silicate material. This type of technique is an eco-friendly technique which contributes in the sustainable development. In the geopolymer construction the waste product like fly ash, glass furnace slag etc. is utilized to develop mortar for use in civil engineering applications. It provides an alternate to the conventional concrete and mortar which is produced by using cement. This technology completely replaces the cement as binding material. So the geopolymer reduces the emission of greenhouse gases, which is emitted during the manufacturing of cement and also the cost of the disposal of fly ash. In this research paper, the compressive strength of the geopolymer mortar has been studied with different ratio of alkaline solution. The variation in Sodium Silicate to Sodium Hydroxide used in this study was 1.5,2 and 2.5. The result of this research paper highlights that the compressive strength of geopolymer mortar was maximum using alkaline solution with ratio 2.

Abstract In recent time Reinforced concrete framed structures have gained lots of attention especially in urban areas of metropolitan. Lots of research work is going on in the analysis and safe design of R.C high rise structural frames, due to scarcity of land or due to small FSI (floor space index) in the cities buildings are evolving vertically that is multi-storeyed or high rise buildings. Response of high rise buildings are quite different then multi-storeyed buildings because high rise building suffer lots of lateral drift or lateral displacement and their lateral stability is a great concern in seismic and wind design keeping in view the lateral stability of high rise building. Seven models of RC structural frames with different configuration in ETABS have been made; the main aim of the study is to find out
which structural configuration is more stable against the lateral forces. Outriggers and belt trusses of different type and different materials at different locations have been in cooperated in the building models so as to improve the lateral stability.

Abstract Dairy industries have shown large growth in size and number in most countries of the world. These industries discharge wastewater having high organic pollutants, if discharged without proper treatment, severely pollute receiving water bodies. Large concentration of pollutants in terms of quantity and quality of liquid, solid and gaseous pollutant shows harmful effects on flora and fauna as well as on many areas on environment. According to the pollution board norms, every industry needs to follow land and stream wastewater discharge norms. Pariyat River is one of the most important tributary of Hiran River. Many dairy Industries situated near the banks of the Pariyat River and surrounding area directly releases the wastewater into the river water and affects the water quality of the river at Panagar region, Jabalpur. Due to this problem river water becomes objectionable and pollutes the water source in the vicinity of whole area. The local level pollution on the river bed, sewage waste, the agricultural runoff are causing untold damage to the river and
seriously affecting the quality of life of the people who depend on the river. Therefore there is a need to provide necessary treatment before discharge into the environment. Abstract This is the study on the effect of waste materials with different percentages on sand to find shear strength of sand-waste and pure sand by using direct shear test. Two different waste materials namely tire shred and plastic granules were investigated in this study. The aim of this paper demonstrates how shear strength characteristics of sand mixed with various percentages of different waste material are altered. A relatively, uniform sand has been mixed with waste material i.e. tire shred and plastic granules. Various sand-tire shred and sand-plastic granules mixtures having 0%, 5%,10%, 15%, 20%,25%,30%,40% and 50% waste hose particles by weight were chosen. The waste material was distributed in the sand such that uniform mixtures are obtained. Finally compare the result of shear strength between three sand matrix i.e. uniform sand, sand-tire shred and sand-plastic granules.

Bio-signals are extracted with the help of electrodes by EMG from muscle, EEG from brain, EOG from eyes etc. but these signal are not much useful as they are very small in magnitude and contain noises. For
getting meaning information from the noisy and highly non-linear signals classification of the data has to be done. This paper studies the different artificial intelligent methods of BCI for the classification of signals for the upper limb. The methods included in this study are SVM, Random Tree, Neural Network, Time Domain Power- Spectral Analysis, Ultra Sound Images, Icasso clustering
and some hybrid classifiers.

Abstract In present scenario due to atmosphere conditions reducing the water levels at ground level. Percolating rain water at higher porosity directly to recharging ground water level. And helps it recharging ground water aquifer. In this study, two mixes of no-fine concrete with unique water-cement ratio were taken to find the mix that generate the high compressive strength, split tensile strength and infiltration rate of nofines concrete. No-fine concrete is produced by using ordinary Portland cement, coarse aggregates, and water. Strength of the pervious concrete is low as compared to conventional concrete it is all due to high porosity. However 10, 20, 30% glass powder is used to partially replace cement. The results showed that significant effect on compressive strength, split tensile strength of no-fine concrete. No-fines concrete can be used in low volume traffic pavements, sidewalks and path ways, Tennis courts, slope stabilization and parking lots.

EFFECT OF INDUCED CARBONATION ON HAREDEN PROPERTIES OF M30 AND M35GRADE CONCRETE USING ORDINARY PORTLAND CEMENT

Abstract An experimental investigation was carried out to find harden properties of M30 and M35 grade of concrete using Ordinary Portland cement with water cement ratio 0.42 for M30 and 0.40 for M35 grade concrete were used in this study. In this experimental study carbonation is assessed using a solution of 0.2% phenolphthalein indicator. Normal concrete is indicated in pink colouration. Where as no change in colour indicates that concrete is affected by carbonation. The Mix design is carried out as per BIS (1026-2009).Compressive strength test, split tensile strength test and the flexural strength test were carried out to find effect of carbonation on hardened properties of carbonated concrete and normal concrete. A comparative study is carried out in between normal concrete and carbonated concrete for 3rd day, 7thday and 28th day test samples. The result shows that carbonation concrete has a higher compressive strength as compared to non carbonated concrete cubes. The result shows that the split tensile strength and flexural
strength of carbonated concrete increase as compared to noncarbonated concrete of 3rd day,7thday and 28th day test samples.

Abstract The energy of coastal waves and storm surges are reduced by vegetation cover, which also helps to maintain wetlands through increased sediment deposition. Coastal regions are becoming more vulnerable to natural disasters, flooding resulting from hurricanes and other extreme storm events is a prominent risk along the coasts. Thus, understanding the effect of vegetation on the hydrodynamic impact of such waves on the coastal structures has become an important issue among the coastal engineeri community. This has created a need for research into the properties of waves passing through wetland vegetation. The physical studies were carried out in the present study with rigid vegetation simulating the mangroves and flexible vegetation simulating the marshy vegetation. Experiments were conducted with regular waves of predefined amplitude and frequency on a horizontal and 1:20 bed slope with constant water depth of 0.47m. One of the key parameters to study the hydro-elastic interaction of the flow with the
vegetal stem to represent real-world coastal vegetation is Young’s modulus E. A convenient way to address the single effect of water depth on wave attenuation is to define the relative stem length H/lv. Wave Run-up decreases with relative water depth for different values of H/lv. Darcy’s friction factor f decreases with Reynolds number in range studied up to 3 x 105
. Predictive equations were proposed for Transmission coefficient (KT) and Runup (RU/Hi) for three different vegetation configurations.

MONO COLUMN MULTI-STOREY STRUCTURAL SYSTEM USING COMPOSITE MATERIAL

Abstract Due to urbanization and scarceness of land multi-storey structures has been constructed using modern construction technology. Stability of structural system depends upon loading and supporting conditions. Due to the requirement of large service spaces, mono column structural system has been gained popularity. Structural system will be more stable when all the components balance static and dynamic loads. Fulfilling the criteria of stability conditions for a mono column will be a complicated. Mono column multi-storey structural system involves designing of structure using software which includes geometric modelling, providing material properties, sectional properties, fixing supports, imposing loads and boundary conditions using CSI ETABS. Seismic analysis has been performed and maximum values of stresses, shear forces, bending moments, deflection, storey drift and displacements are studied. Mono column multi-storey structural system using composite material has been compared with conventional RCC mono column structural system. It is found that composite material in mono column structure makes structure more serviceable as compare to conventional RCC mono column structure.

Abstract With the increase in population and development of civilization, the demand for transportation infrastructure is increased at peak rate. Especially in towns due to rapid industrialization, the demand is extremely high. Adapting the construction of plate girder bridges is the efficient and economical way of meeting the traffic demands for the purpose of railways and also for the bridges connecting the land masses separated by water bodies. Hence it is mandatory for a Structural Engineer to be knowledgeable about the analysis of such plate girders employed in the construction of bridges and also as heavy beams in buildings where large open area is required.
Advancements of Finite Element Analysis software packages have significantly made ease to the designers in achieving the best optimum results with utmost precision and accuracy in their work. The finite element analysis of steel plate girder in this study is carried out using sophisticatedly programmed software ABAQUS SIMULIA in a much feasible manner in least possible time. In this study an attempt has been made to evaluate the different types of stresses, displacements and buckling mode shapes of 8 different steel plate girder models and the results have been compared of all the different plate girders comprising diverse shaped (viz., circular, elliptical, chamfered square) web openings with that of the plate girders without web openings taking into consideration the two different sets of models, one set of models comprising flanges thickness size bearing 25mm and the other set of models bearing flange thickness 40mm. After performing the entire analysis it has been found that plate girders with soft web openings are considerably showing good performance and leading to the efficient, economical and safe design saving the overall material cost

Abstract In this thesis presenting the effect of lateral forces on tube-in-tube structure. Logical and safe design of taller structure is done efficiently by the advancement of 3d structural analysis. Over the past few years tabular structures most common in the construction of high rise buildings, among all the structural systems tube in tube is more suitable for tall buildings .Tube-in-tube structure comprises of inner core tube and outer periphery which is connected by floor slab. The outer periphery acts like tube as core tube which is in the middle of structure. According to is 1893-2002 equivalent static analysis is done for the performance of 10 story building. In reinforce concrete building, the presence of shear wall contribute large stiffness to resisting the sesmic and wind loads. During strong earthquake ductile behavior of the structure is due to improper detailing of shear walls. Shear wall area ratio influence the behavior of sesmic forces on buildings. Thus an analytical study is performed to evaluate the effect of share wall by the sesmic forces on rein forced concrete structures in tube-in-tube structures. In this study 3 models are considered.model.is having regular structure and in the second model shear walls are provided at the corners and in the third model columns are are closely spaced around the periphery of the building. all seismic parameters such as base shear ,drift, displacement, torsion are compared between all the models.all the structures are analysed by using E-TABS.

Power Quality Improvement in PV Flyback Microinverter using Adaptive FuzzyPR Controller

Abstract this project presents an power quality improvement in PV Flyback microinverter using adaptive fuzzy-PR controller. The proposed control strategy consists of the proportional-resonant (PR) controller with fuzzy logic controller. Compared to the conventional control strategy using the proportional-integral controller, the PR controller with HC and fuzzy logic controller provides a higher system gain at the fundamental and harmonic frequencies of the grid without using a high gain in both operation modes. Then, it enhances the tracking speed and disturbance rejection performances satisfied, By applying fuzzy logic controller yielded from the proposed operation mode selection, the disturbance rejection is achieved more effectively, and the control burden is reduced. Finally, the simulation and experimental results were shown to verify the tracking speed and disturbance rejection performances of the proposed control strategy

EMISSION INVENTORY OF AIR POLLUTANTS FROM DIESEL GENERATOR USED AT SELECTED LOCATIONS IN JAIPUR CITY, INDIA

Abstract The use of diesel generator (DG) sets for power backup at various places like malls, shopping centres, wedding gardens, offices buildings etc. increases the air pollution levels in the cities and causes severe health and environmental problems. A study of emission inventory for the air pollutants released from the diesel generators used at malls, shopping centres and wedding gardens in Jaipur city, India has been carried out to estimate concentration of air pollutants viz: oxides of nitrogen (NOx), oxides of sulphur (SOx), particulate matter (PM10), hydrocarbon (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO) by using questionnaire survey of the users comprising of managers and DG operators. 16 wedding gardens, 6 malls and 2 shopping centres located within the city were identified for calculation of data for the period between May 2018 to July 2018. It has been observed that in the wedding gardens 62, 125 and 250 KVAs of DG sets are used, whereas, malls and shopping centres used 8 types DG sets ranges from 62 to 1650 KVA. In wedding gardens, the estimated emission rate of air pollutants from 250 KVA DG set (running with the average of 3 hours per day) emit 0.183 kg/day of PM10, 3.08 kg/day of NOX and 1.50 kg/day of CO. 62 KVA DG sets produces 0.072 kg/day of PM10, 1.296 kg/day of NOX and 0.77 kg/day of CO.

RE also establish a registration and hole feeling algorithm to solve most critical problem related to 3D human busts by using CNC milling machine and produce its human model.

Concrete cylinder specimens were cast by replacing conventional aggregate with crushed Nagalooti waste stone, also replacing cement with flyash up to 30% in conventional cement concrete of M25 grade in 20 different mix proportions and different percentages. In this experiment natural aggregates are replaced by Nagalooti waste stone aggregates in proportions of 0,25,50,75,100% and also cement is replaced with fly ash by 0,10,20,30%

For present study, models of high–rise building (G+15 and G+21 multi-storey building) were
analyzed with dynamic seismic analysis (Response Spectrum Analysis) in seismic zone IV in Staad.pro software. Results of present study concluded that the total cost of G+15 building is minimum for Type C building (having Square cross-section) and total cost of G+21 Building is minimum for Type F building (having Square cross-section). Therefore, it can be concluded that the square cross-section of column is safe and economical at the same time for G+15 and G+21 multi-storey building

Abstract The present boom in day by day growing buildings is leading to excessive use of concrete, thereby resulting in depletion of natural resources such as sand and natural aggregates. On the other hand, fly ash which is a byproduct from thermal plants creating environmental problems. To overcome such kind of situation it may be better approach to retrieve aggregates from fly ash and use it again in the preparation of concrete in the form of Cold Bonded Fly ash Aggregate. The present work is directed towards the evaluation of concrete using partial replacement of Natural Coarse Aggregates of size 20 mm (NCA) with 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% cold bonded fly ash aggregates (CBFA). The experimental results of strength properties are evaluated and compared with NCA concrete. Compressive Strength, Split Tensile Strength, Modulus of Elasticity and Flexural Strength of M25 grade concrete were obtained using the standard concrete specimens. Based on the experimental test results, it can be observed that with increase in percentage of Cold Bonded Fly ash Aggregates in concrete, the Compressive Strength increases with 100% replacement of Natural Coarse Aggregates(20 mm) with Cold Bonded Fly ash Aggregate. Test results indicates that the use of Cold Bonded Fly ash Aggregates as partial replacement of coarse aggregates improved strength properties compared to controlled concrete.

Abstract Extrusion of Al-alloy contain Mg-Si, Lithium with its material behavior that change their mechanical properties(yield strength, ultimate tensile strength, elongation percentage), heat treatment grain structure (size). To produce nanocrystalline powder is done by low-energy mechanical to wearing down at cryonic temperature (cryomilling). The nanostructure of Al-7.5Mg powder were produce by
cryomilled and then blended to form bimodal with unmilled. The average strength, percent elongation, at fracture, hardness, and electrical conductivity of the aluminum alloys. Higher exposure temperature and longer exposure times resulted in lower ultimate and yield strength values for all alloys. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) was performed determine the strengthening phase. The energy absorption in axially loaded square thin-walled aluminum extrusion in alloy has been studied. In Al-alloy the differences in the intergranular corrosion behavior between the surface of the extrusion and the center. The productivity in an extrusion plant may be limited from numerous reason. This paper has put emphasis on the important role of the extrusion process and in particular extrusion of alloys series in the aluminu industry. Therefore, its uses in present day’s application in transportation, building structure, aero-craft
etc. are growing rapidly.

As per ongoing practice, the structural design engineers generally do not consider the soil structure interaction and its detrimental or beneficial effect on a structure while
designing the structure during an dynamic seismic loading in spite of the structures being supported on soil. The Soil-structure interaction is a mechanism which comprises both Structural and Soil Engineering.The soil parameters can affect the behaviour of the waves generated by earthquake which passes through the different soil or rock strata. All the dead and live loads which are transferred to the some support (soil or rock) and hence this supporting medium (soil or rock) can vary the structural behavior in a small or large way.In case of soft and medium soil strata in which the pile foundations are laid,the soil-structure interaction has large effect. Hence during occurrence of earthquake, seismic forces are applied to the structures and the event of soil-structure interaction occurs among the structure,foundation and soil which changes the behavior of the ground motion and thus the behavior of structure. The relevant IS codes are followed for design of framed structures. For the study of the response(SSI action),the framed structures supported by deep (pile) foundations have been adopted to be laid in two types of soils ( medium and soft). The framed structures supported on fixed and
flexible foundations were assumed to be subjected to seismic forces in seismic zones II,III,IV and V for the analysis . The structures were analyzed by various seismic design methods using software STAAD Pro. The response of framed structure in form of Base shear,Base moment and top Lateral deflection for all building frames are presented in this paper.

Abstract Shell foundations have been used as an alternative to the conventional shallow foundation. Shell foundation can be generally classified as uncurved, singly-curved and doubly-curved. In this paper, results of experimental investigation of uncurved type upright triangular shell footing on unreinforced and reinforced sand bed are presented. Model footing of upright triangular shell footing was made of mild steel. The results were plotted as load settlement curve and ultimate bearing capacity were determined for both reinforced and unreinforced sand bed condition. The results indicate that upright shell footing provides higher bearing capacity as compared with flat strip footing with similar condition

Abstract Lubrication Oil is required for smooth running of the compressor in the vapour compression refrigeration systems. In order to reduce friction between the moving parts of the compressor, lubrication is much needed. Nano particles as additives are also considered to improve the lubrication properties of lubricant oil, Nano particles are used as additives for the compressor of vapor compression refrigeration systems. In the present work, SiO2(silica) Nano powder (0.5% W/w) was mixed with Polyolester(POE) oil and Mineral oil
separately. Experiments are done with R134a as refrigerant and it was found that power consumption was decreasing with Polylester oil and Mineral lubrication oils when compared with normal compressor oil. By incorporating nozzle at the inlet of the evaporator section, it converts pressure enrgy into kinetic enery, further expansion takes place after expansion in capillary tube. With nozzle refrigeration effect is increased. With the combined effect of SiO2 Nano powder with Oils and Nozzle at entry section of the evaporator, more COP is produced when compared with nozzle close condition at the inlet of the evaporator.

Abstract In vapor compression refrigeration cycle, expansion of refrigerant from condenser pressure to evaporator pressure takes place in a capillary tube, it is proposed to incorporate a nozzle in addition to a capillary tube for expansion. Nozzle is a positive device which converts pressure energy into kinetic energy without aid of any external work. In the present work it is proposed to use both capillary tube and nozzle to expand the refrigerant from condenser pressure to evaporator pressure with a view to find the effect of nozzle. In view of this, the experimental setup was fabricated and is used to obtain the experimental data. This experimental data is used to analyze the performance of the refrigeration system with and without the nozzle at the outlet of condenser. This present investigation has found that the capillary tube in addition to the nozzle encourages further reduction of pressure before entering into the evaporator. This leads to the improvement of the refrigerating effect and coefficient of performance of the vapour compression refrigeration system.

Abstract The coefficient of performance (COP) of a refrigeration system can be improved if a reduction in the work of compression (WC) can be  achieved by a suitable technique, for a specified heat removal rate. The present study investigated the effect of dispersing a low concentration of SiO2 nanoparticles in Polyoester oil and the effects of nano lubricant, on its viscosity and lubrication characteristics, as well as on the overall performance of a Vapor Compression Refrigeration System using R600a (Isobutane) as the working fluid were
noticed. An enhancement in the COP of the refrigeration system has been observed, with low concentrations of nanoparticles suspended in Polyoester oil (POE).The physics involved in the interaction of nanoparticles with the base fluid has been elucidated. In the present work, SiO2 Nano powder (1% w/v), (2% w/v) and (3% w/v) was mixed with Polyolester (POE) oil. Experiments are done with R600a as refrigerant and it was found that power consumption was decreasing with Polyolester oil lubricants when compared with normal cycle this is due to effective lubrication and thermo physical characteristics of nano lubricant.

When the girl feels there is an any insecure and if she make the sound Like danger then immediately the circuit will be activated and pepper spray will be released and next the camera will capture the eve teasers and send the photos to the higher officials through mail with the help of Wi-Fi. The location of the person can be send with help GSM & GPRS technology. In this work MEM sensor will be activated whenever the girl fell in sick due to illness, then the sensed information will be
delivered to the parents with a message called the girl is in sick along with a location. And also same message will be send to the people along with latitude and longitude values those whomever the app is installed from play store. By using this mobile application the girl can be protected even when the police arrival is late.

Experimental Validation of the Proposed SHM Technique form Limited Extracted Dynamic Responses of a Steel Beam Adopting Inverse Dynamic Approach

Abstract Condition monitoring of structures is important from safety consideration. Damage detection techniques, using inverse dynamic approaches, are important tools to improve the mathematical models for structural health monitoring. However, uncertainties in the measured data might lead to unreliable identification of damage in structural system. The measurement of dynamic responses at all degrees of freedom of a structure is also not feasible in practice. An analysis methodology is proposed for condition monitoring of beam structures in the framework of finite element model with limited randomly measured dynamic responses. The structural properties viz. axial rigidity and bending rigidity are identified at the element level in the updated models of the system. Damage detection technique is employed considering the uncertainties associated with the measured dynamic responses data. The proposed model is suitable for practical problem, as it is able to identify the structural parameters with limited modal data of first few modes, measured at selected degrees of freedom. Different numerical examples with various damage scenarios are explored to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed model. The model is able to identify the structural damage with greater accuracy from the noisy dynamic responses even if the extent of damage is small. Experimental studies, on simple cantilever beams, establish the potential of the proposed methods for its practical implementation.

Original image is encrypted with a secret key and during or after its communication, it is possible to embed additional information in the encrypted image, without knowing the original information of the image or encrypted image. During the process of decoding, the secret message can be removed and the actual image can be reconstructed. RDHEI has started to draw research interest. Certainly, with the Growth of cloud computing, data privacy has become a real issue. No existing methods allows us to hide a huge amount of information in a reversible manner. In this paper, we presented a new reversible method based on MSB (most significant bit) predication with a very high capacity. We present two proposals, these are: high capacity reversible data hiding with embedded prediction errors (EPE-HCRDH) and high capacity reversible data hiding with correction of prediction errors (CPE-HCRDH) with this
two method, our results are better than those obtained with current state of the methods, both in term embedding capacity and also in terms of reconstructed image quality

Analysis of Groundwater Quality of Borough X (10), Kolkata for assessment of Pre-Monsoon and Post Monsoon Variation

Abstract The evaluation of groundwater quality is the key towards ensuring and monitoring the nature of groundwater. Hence, it turns out to be essential to direct a legitimate and detailed evaluation for the maintenance of groundwater quality, and for further improvement in the water quality of the aquifer. An attempt has been made to understand the changes in the physiochemical characteristics of groundwater for pre-monsoon and post-monsoon period of Borough X (10) of Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. The study area covers nearly 15.716 km 2 region of the city, serving a population of nearly 389461, which is nearly 8.66 % of the total population of the city. The groundwater quality of the region is under constant threat primarily to several anthropogenic activities which has
steadily increased over time. The analysis of physiochemical parameters such as pH, Total Dissolved Solids, Electrical Conductivity, Turbidity, Chloride, Total Alkalinity, Total Hardness, Nitrate, Iron, Arsenic, and Fluoride provides a detailed outlook into the several parameters involved. The Borough consists of 12 wards of which 20 samples were collected from each ward pre-monsoon on March, 2018 and post-monsoon on September, 2018 and a comparative analysis was executed. The study shows a slight but noticeable improvement in the groundwater quality of the region post the monsoon period. This phenomenon could be noted primarily due to the dilution of the groundwater with rainwater which had been received by the aquifer in the monsoon season via infiltration.

Abstract Now a day’s construction of high rise building is rapidly increasing throughout the world. Therefore the diagrid structural system is most widely used for high rise buildings because of its structural efficiency and aesthetic look. The diagride structure is a type of structure in which the diagonal members are used in the periphery of the structure. In present work concrete diagride structural system with corner column and without corner column is analyzed and compared with conventional structural system. Due to inclined columns in the periphery, lateral loads are resisted by axial action of the diagonal in diagrid structure compared to bending of vertical columns in conventional structure. A regular G+18 storey RCC building with plan size 20mX20m located in seismic zone III is
considered for analysis. STAAD.Pro software is used for modelling and analysis of structural members. All the structural members are designed as per IS 456:2000 and load combinations of seismic forces are taken as per IS 1893(part 1):2000. Comparison of results on terms of axial force, bending moment, shear force and displacement is presented. Thus it can be concluded that behaviour of diagrid structural system with corner column is more efficient than diagride without corner column and conventional structural system

Abstract The paper presents a brief of the experimental work carried out on enhancing the performance of heat exchangers. Research is being carried out to increase the efficiency of heat exchange using by using a mix of different fluids. Further, the flow pattern through the heat exchangers has been given attention to enhance the wetting area of the fluid with solid components of the heat exchanger. In addition, micro-heat exchangers developed till date employ twisted tape inserts, baffles and fins to add to the surface area of the heat exchangers still keeping the effective dimensions of the heat exchangers to be low. Effect of external cone rings in various
orientations on the heat transfer performance are also studied. Owing to their limited space occupation and compact size double pipe heat exchangers are reviewed as a possible solution to augment the heat transfer performance of heat exchangers by various active as well as passive techniques. One of the techniques that is providing corrugation on the tube walls is studied. The effects of varying the various geometric parameters of corrugated tubes viz. their depth, pitch, orientation, diameter is reviewed. Possibilities of employing corrugations on both inner and outer tubes were exploited as well as the effects of providing a convex and concave corrugation
alternatively along the tube length were also analyzed effects of flow parameters on the heat transfer and pressure drop in the pipes were also studied. The possibility of exploiting CFD techniques and the results obtained thereof were considered. The effects of flow parameters and geometric variations in pipes on various dimensionless numbers and factors were studied.

Lexicographic method of Fully Fuzzy Transportation problem

Abstract The Transportation Problem in operations Researches deals with the shipment of units of a commodity from a given number of sources to a given number of destinations. Much research was done on this topic but the same subject is dealt with a new approach within the limits of linear programming to solve the real life problems of transportation. The real life situations are affected by uncertainty and sometimes fictional evidences. The fully fuzzy transportation problem with Lexicographic method is used to achieve the computational preciseness.

Abstract While turning, a piece of comparatively rigid material (materials like wood, stone, plastic or metals) is replaced and a cutting tool is navigated along 1, 2, or 3 axis of motion to generate exact diameters & depths. Speeds and feeds for turning are selected on the basis of the cutting materials, work piece material, set up rigidity, machine tool rigidity and spindle power, coolant choice, and some other required factors. According to this thesis, here the cutting tool is made of tungsten carbide. The analyses are conducted on 20 and
40mm diameter circular pieces. Theoretical calculations are done to determine cutting forces. Modeling is done in Catia and analysis is done by applying cutting forces to determine stresses in Ansys

CONFINEMENT TECHNIQUES TO RESIST STATIC AS WELL AS DYNAMIC COMPRESSION OF CONCRETE COLUMNS: A REVIEW PAPER

Abstract Driven by the concern to identify better technical solutions for the vulnerability of concrete structures to both axial compression and axial compression coupled with lateral pressures caused by events such as earth quake, wind and water forces, a host of relevant literature has been surveyed. Confined concrete structures, to begin with, formed a solution but improvements thereon have lead to experimentations through transverse reinforcement in the form of spirals, circular hoops and rectilinear ties or by encasing the concrete columns in a steel tube or in FRP wraps. The initial works however have looked at only the single layered confinement. The impact of single layered stirrups has been studied under condition of normal strength concrete as well as high strength concrete. Despite capturing models of single layer transverse reinforcement with and without fibrous concrete, the researchers were left
with suboptimal solutions of confinement with single layer configurations. This perhaps has lead to more recent studies suggesting experimentation with double layered stirrups confined concrete columns. These studies including the efforts, though very few in number, to develop analytical models have opened up scope for research in double layered stirrup reinforcement with various configurations, including even confinement using mild steel mesh.
