The State Highway-27 was two –lane highway but with the requirement of time it was converted into Six-lane Highway. The section which comes under the research is Indore-Ujjain Highway from Luvkush Square to Shri Vaishnav Vidhyapeeth Vishwavidhyalaya Indore, Madhya Pradesh. This national highway is maintained and operated by National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation (MPRDC). The identification of the critical section has been taken place on it. The study will be identifying the defects of the roads and will give the better idea about the defects .In this study the crashes reduction factor and crash modification factor will be found to know the actual condition of the section.

Peoples are used to private & public vehicles to connect with different areas of the cities. we calculate the traffic distribution at the LIG square and Navlakha square towards each other by conducting traffic studies by Origin destination survey.estimate the traffic movement directions at various intersections and produce a traffic graphs and flow map of the roads. With the help of obtained data we recommend certain diversions to the proposed flyover at specific intersections which have dynamic traffic movement.

This paper presents a surveying work carried out using advanced electronic surveying instrument - total station. This work has been done in two stages. In the first stage surveying work on field is carried out to collect the actual ground. In the second stage the data has been analysed and map was prepared using commercial software.

This paper aims to study, understand and analyse the critical behaviour of RCC frame structures with and without shear wall on hard, medium and soft soil strata subjected to seismic loading. Lateral displacement, base shear, storey displacement are the main parameters that are calculated and compared for all 5 models with different location of shear wall. This paper not only covers the behaviour of building with and without shear wall but it also helps to understand the behaviour of building for different locations of shear wall. All RCC frame models are modelled in ETABS software. Output from software consisting of Pushover curve and storey displacement results of all 5 models are presented, which helps to design the structures in order to reduce the effect of seismic forces.

This research aims to identify the factors that influence the lack of skills in construction. The questionnaire was designed based on the research method that will be used after the analysis of the literature and the identification of various factors that influence the lack of skills in construction.Data Analysis through excel software has been carried out. Also, all the factors affecting the skill shortage were classified using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Analysis has been carried out by the pairwise comparison of each factor and criteria for the overall response from stakeholders. After analyzing the data in the questionnaire, the rank was assigned based on the relative importance.

In the present study it was also found that farmers with separate and isolated rearing house and with the use of solar passive applications use of effective disinfection and hygiene maintenance acknowledged better rearing results with respect to less disease percentage , improved ERR, more cocoon yield per 100 dfls, single cocoon weight , shell weight, and higher price for lot in a market and higher profitability over the control. In the present study it was observed that, arrangements like low cost solar passive alterations air inlet from north wall covered with wet gunny bags to increase humidity, solar chimney ventilator, false ceiling with use of thermocol application of, wooden bags, wet gunny cloth hanged in corridor, doors, windows, with arrangement of drip facility by using methods siphon, motor operated or bottles filled with water with facility to have droplets at regular intervals , sprinklers over the ceiling covered with grass, other dry material of coconut leaves, sowing of raggi, jawar wheat seed in sand all around the bottom ventilators of rearing house was found
effective for creating more relative humidity and temperature maintenance. It can control the temperature by one of the method like underground cooling system, underground temperature can be very beneficial in balancing the thermal comfort of the rearing house. This method of cooling is cost not damaging to environment and is natural way to cool off. This shows healthy growth of adult silkworms over the control. The present work would be helpful for mass application, utilization and assessment of low cost solar passive technologies to increase qualitative and quantitative cocoon yield with farmers of Western Maharashtra region. Dynamic Response of RC Structures with Dampers

low cost, no external power and low maintenance. In this paper performance a 14 storey reinforced concrete structure is modelled in ETABS software with equal area of varying plan configuration. Types of configuration modelled are rectangle plan configuration, L plan configuration and Hexagon plan configuration. After modelling various properties of friction damper and viscous damper in order to model in software were obtained. A nonlinear time history analysis was performed. The structure with dampers showed a greater reduction in displacement and time period when compared with the model without dampers. Friction dampers showed greater reduction of displacement when compared with viscous dampers.

DEVELOPMENT OF WATER AND STAIN-REPELLENT FINSIHED HANDLOOM SAREES USING ON-LOOM INTEGRATED FINISHING DEVICE

‘On-loom integrated finishing device’ is a novel technique to impart the required finishes to the handloom fabric during weaving itself i. e.,the finish process is integrated with the weaving process. ‘Water-and-Stain-repellent finish’ is essential not only to develop new products in handloom sarees but also to have value added products.
Through this work three different types of fabrics, namely 100% silk, silk-cotton and 100% cotton have been considered. The process parameter variables are three different concentrations of finish liquor such as 40 g/l, 50 g/l and 60 g/l and three different curing temperatures of 140oC, 150oC and 160oC. In total, among 27 samples three best samples of Waterrepellent-finished handloom sarees have been selected and compared with Powerloom fabrics of similar finish and construction.

River sand is becoming a very scarce material. The sand mining from our rivers have become objectionably excessive in view of both economy and environment. Rock crush powder (RCP) can be used as an alternative to sand and its effect on the strength and properties of fresh concrete are needed to be investigated. Unfortunately limited research has been conducted to explore the potential utilization of RCP in concrete mixture. In view of the above investigation it is an attempt towards the assessment of suitability of use of Fly Ash (FA) and Rock Crushed Powder (RCP) in concrete production. The present experimental work consists of experimental studies are carried out to understand the strength characters of self compacting concrete with two replacement 10% and 20% of Fly Ash for cement and four different replacement levels for RCP for sand i.e.(0%,25%,50%,75%,100%.) in comparison to Conventional SCC
for this experimental work the grade concrete used is M50.

Analysis of the results indicates that bond strength at interface of old and new concrete is almost same in compressive strength
test. In split tensile strength test, bond strength at interface increased, when epoxy resin is used with comparison of as cast specimens. In slant shear strength test, bond strength at interface increased, when epoxy resin is used with comparison of as cast specimens. In flexural strength test, bond strength at interface increased, when epoxy resin is used. The application of an epoxy resin based bonding agent improve the bond strength.

Enhancement of Quality of Indian Cottons through Optimization of Roller Gin Machine Parameters

Moisture Content present in raw material (Seed Cotton). A series of experiments using the above parameters has been conducted in order to identify their effect on cotton characteristics like Length, Short fibre content, Seed Coat Fragments, Fibrous neps etc. Ginned Cotton samples have been tested in appropriate instruments like HVI, Cotton Trash Analyzer and Moisture measuring system. With these studies appropriate optimization has been found to be possible and helpful to the ginning/spinning industries for minimising the deficiency present in the Indian cottons.Seed Cotton havind standard moisture content (around 7.5 %) yields better ginning performance in all respect i.e. Fibre length, Feibre Strength. Trash Content, Gin productivity as well Cotton Realization. In addition to this, ginning machinery parameters/conditions like better condition of leather roller as well fixed and moving knives help in achieving higher gin productivity and Cotton realization having low trash content. However, lower gin machine speed minimises the trash content in cotton but at the cost of gin productivity.

AN INVESTIGATION ON MATHEMATICS TEACHERS' TECHNOLOGICAL PEDAGOGICAL CONTENT KNOWLEDGE (TPACK) IN SECONDARY SCHOOL SETTING IN ASSAM

understanding in TPACK?” needs to be addressed first as it is essential for good research (Kelly, 2010; Koehler et al., 2011). Researchers who develop TPACK survey instruments, however, have devoted attention to the reliability and validity properties of TPACK measurement. Specifically, TPACK survey research has allowed researchers to further address the issues like – internal consistency, test–retest reliability, and discriminant and convergent validity about the measurement of TPACK. In this research, the examination concentrated on Mathematics Teachers' Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) for utilizing ICT in educating and learning successfully in secondary schools. This examination was completed with 45 mathematics educators serving in 38 secondary schools situated in a hilly region of Assam. The sample survey method was adopted for the present investigation. A research instrument was developed to measure Mathematics Teachers' Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) for utilizing technology in teaching-learning process. Gathered information was examined through various statistical tools. The information was investigated dependent on 7 distinctive learning premise characterized in TPACK structure.

MICROCONTROLLER BASED MODEL DESIGN OF A SAFETY SYSTEM FOR TRAINS USING GPS

proposed system comprises of the equipment to detect the presence of another train on the same track in the nearby vicinity, and triggering a cascade of mechanism both automatically and manually which will help to stop the train and subsequently avoid the collision. The hardware used in the project includes ATMega 328 microcontroller, GPS module, Bluetooth module for communication and RFID reader for track detection. This paper presents a solution in which a microcontroller is used to execute a predetermined software algorithm to perform the precise action. Successful implementation of the proposed system would yield the desired result, in which the control room would detect the presence of two trains in the same region (using GPS) and on the same track (using RFID), and subsequently send an alert message (using Bluetooth) to the loco pilots to take the required action.

Dye Removal of Textile Waste Water Using Natural Adsorbent

The adsorbents are capable of removing colour from synthetic waste water, their colour removal capacity for moringa seed powder is 50% and lemon seed is 86% at room temperature and at pH 6 and 7 respectively. The equilibrium time was found about 60 min for moringa seed and 30 min lemon seed. Data obtained from experiments fitted with Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherms. The experimental result shows that, lemon seed powder is much more efficient than moringa seed powder for removal of methylene blue dye. Overall the result shows that the materials have good potential to remove dye and good potential as an alternate low cost adsorbent. Wastewater treated with low cost adsorbents as well as treatment costs reduced at the same time.

This project was carried out on the mineral admixture Nano-silica on the partial replacement of cement with conplast SP-430 superplasticizer by its optimum solution value. Nano-silica helps to strengthening the concrete which is used as cementitious nano sized materials. The reaction obtained with the addition of calcium silicate hydrate causes calcium leaching in water and leads to durability improvement. Thus, the experiment was carried out with M60 grade concrete mix design and the compressive test, split tensile test and flexural test were conducted to carry out the strength of the cubes, cylinder and beams respectively. The cubes were kept for curing and it was test on 7th, 14th and 28th days respectively. Similarly, cylinder and beams were tested on 7th , 14th and 28th days after the curing. The mineral admixture i.e, nano-silica was partially replaced on the variation of 0%, 1%, 2%, 3% respectively with
optimum solution of conplast Sp-430 (superplasticizer)

The tests used to evaluate the behaviour of bituminous mix was Marshal Stability test, Indirect tensile strength test and the permanent deformation test. The results from various studies shows that the addition of the crumb rubber retards the appearance of the cracks, ruts and improves the stability of the pavements at permissible proportions.

Evaluation of Smart Mass Rapid Transit System – The Cost Benefit Analysis for Elevated Articulated BRT System for Nashik City

atmosphere condition of Nashik city. The Articulated BRTS (elevated) provide multiple benefit, reduction in air pollution, time saving to passenger, Reduction in accidents. Reduction in traffic congestion fuel savings. There are increments benefits cost to a number of economic agents, government, private transport, passenger, General public.
Nashik City is selected as Smart City.
The economic evaluation, of MRTS create a comprehensive frame of the full impact (Benefit of Cost) of particular transport service or improvement, it identification various categories of impact of how to monetize it. It explains economic concepts of evaluation techniques. It provides cost value in a framed designed to help uses easily inform policy analysis and planning situation. The social cost benefit analysis of articulated BRTS is done in this paper tries to measure all the benefits and costs of the project cover a total distance of 32.0 km. in Nashik city. Estimates of social benefit & costs of this project are obtained using the recently estimated shadow prices of investment. After going though cost Benefit analysis estimated B/C ratio is 2.18 which is positive (more than one) mean the project is
economically viable. Which help the decision makers to compare different alternatives and mode of transport. This means Elevated, Articulated BRTS project will be prove economical, viable, robust for Nashik city.

In this study investigates the mechanical properties of cement has been replaced with fixed percentage of fly ash and variable percentage of metakaolin. Four basic concrete mixes have considered. These are (1) Conventional mix with no material substitutions, (2) 30% replacement of cement with fly ash and 5% replacement of cement with metakaolin, (3) 30% replacement of cement with fly ash and 10% replacement of cement with metakaolin, (4) 30% replacement of cement with flyash and 15% replacement of cement with metakaolin. M30 grade concrete used to get maximum strength. Cubes are tested at 7 days and 28 days of curing period for compressive strength test. Cylinders are tested at 7 days and 28 days of curing period for split tensile test. Beams are tested at 7 days and 28 days of curing period for flexural strength test.The obtained test results are compared with conventional concrete.

In order to evaluate the performance of our proposed Optical Character Recognition (OCR) system, 1050 samples of Kannada alphabets written by various people in various styles are made used. Part of this data set is used to train the SVM and remaining part is used to test the performance of SVM. We achieved satisfactory recognition rate of around 75%.
